Hoopla..........................
I spotted this leaf as I walked along the trail....it had a hole in the centre and had 'hoopla'ed itself onto a branch!!! I thought it was amazing and definitely worth a picture!!!
Wild Moose chase..............
Last night at dusk Lloyd was bathing the children and I was going through the pictures from yesterdays shoot......all of a sudden he yells down from upstairs 'Jane!!! Look outside!!'......we had a fire burning outside so I thought the grass was on fire!!!! So I ran and looked and there was a HUGE bull moose stood beside the trampoline!!!!!!! Wow!!! So of course I run and get my camera, get the right lens get the spare card (other card was in computer as I was working on the pictures) and by that time the moose was running off.....towards the side field.......and then we see a car driving up that field!!!! So of course we panic...what if they are going to shoot the moose!!!! So Lloyd gets on the quad and races after the moose chasing it into another field.......we knew if it got into the other field then our neighbours aren't allowed to shoot it!
It was all a bit bizarre and hilarious really....we were on a mission to save Mr Moose! He must have casually wandered up our driveway :)
Of course at dusk the camera is useless at distances :( Mr Moose was here and we didn't get a picture :(
But we DID save him for another day :) no one shot our moose :)
I love Moose......I can understand people like Heather hunting them for food in Alaska etc......but here where we are surrounded by grocery stores and meat shops etc ...well, I just don't think there is a need to shoot them....they are gorgeous and I just sooooooo LOVE having them on our land.......well to be honest the way I see it is that we are living on THEIR land!
Stay safe Mr Moose.
