Smart.........
But what gets me is that the host doesn't pronounce Hungary right either - he pronounces it 'Hungry'..............and yet no one says anything about that!
Christmas baking...
I spent the morning baking sheet upon sheet of whipped shortbread cookies...they are all now boxed and in the freezer for Christmas....with a layer of wax paper between each layer of cookies :)
We may have an extra with us this Christmas, and I want to be sure to have some Canadian favourites for our Canadian friend for Christmas Day :)
Whipped Shortbread
1 cup soft butter
1 ½ cups flour
½ cup icing sugar
Add ingredients into bowl. Whip with a mixer for a minimum of 10 minutes. Place by spoonful onto a cookie sheet or use a cookie press...I used my icing bag!
Bake at 300 until lightly brown around edges, around 10-15 minutes.
Christmas flower....

Scenes from the party
Abigails face painted with a snowman....Susie collecting her door prize (she won a dvd of Santa Clause 3......The choir singing.....and Chris dancing on stage :)......and playing musical chairs in the games room downstairs.....and one of the crafts the children made...a candy cane holder :) Lucy (a fellow Brit and newbie to our area) was in charge of the craft table and the crafts were so great...I supplied the bags and rubber stamps so the children could decorate a bag to take all their creations home....the candy cane mouse was definitely my favoruite of the crafts though :)
