Smart.........

But what gets me is that the host doesn't pronounce Hungary right either - he pronounces it 'Hungry'..............and yet no one says anything about that!

Christmas baking...

I spent the morning baking sheet upon sheet of whipped shortbread cookies...they are all now boxed and in the freezer for Christmas....with a layer of wax paper between each layer of cookies :)

We may have an extra with us this Christmas, and I want to be sure to have some Canadian favourites for our Canadian friend for Christmas Day :)

Whipped Shortbread

1 cup soft butter
1 ½ cups flour
½ cup icing sugar

Add ingredients into bowl. Whip with a mixer for a minimum of 10 minutes. Place by spoonful onto a cookie sheet or use a cookie press...I used my icing bag!

Bake at 300 until lightly brown around edges, around 10-15 minutes.

Christmas flower....

I bought a Poinsettia for Tricia, to thank her for all she did for the Christmas party...and I got myself one too :) The last time I had a Poinsettia, it was a homewarming gift from Dave and Tracy - at our LAST house! It lived for over 3 years!! So I hope I can keep this one going as well :)
