Watching the sunset...
These pictures didn't come out well because I literally grabbed the camera and snapped away and none of the settings are right........but the dogs were taking turns to sit and watch the sunset so I wanted to picture it quickly......I think they are very glad to be home again after being at the kennels!
Lloyd is on his way home from work but there have been two accidents...roads are VERY slippery...and two ways home are blocked so he has to take 50th down to Ellerslie and come home that way instead......he has also hit rush hour because he has finished work late....
Good news though - he heard from an old friend.....we lost contact after we moved house last year but he got in touch today....this friend used to live in South Carolina so he wants to ask lots of questions about life in the Carolina's.........I think she lives in NY now..........Lloyd looked at jobs in Charlotte today...he says there seem to be a lot there in his line of work so thats great news......
Happy Birthday Nathalie!!!
I just want to say 'welcome to middle age' to my dear friend Nathalie......Nathalie lives in the UK and we went to school together...she is thinking of emigrating from the UK to Calgary or BC in the near future and I think that would be fab - it would be so great to meet up again after all this time!
Happy 35th Birthday Nathalie!

First day...........
The children started school this morning...they were supposed to go by bus but the bus company didn't sort it out so I had to drive them in snow and freezing rain...nasty......and the driveway was covered in snow - I couldn't even see Lloyds tyre tracks...I didn't know where to turn or anything......and they hadn't told me the rules for drop off or anything so I have no idea if I parked in the wrong place or should have been so close to the buses or whatever......
The school also didn't send the supplies lists so I had no idea what to get them...we bought a few things yesterday and that will have to do until I go shopping again......
Abigail has been a little lost today without her siblings....right now she has my left arm in a sling and is bandaging me up.....has written me a prescription...her diagnosis is that I am a little bit not healthy, that I've been eating a bit too much junk and that the cure is to sleep for two days and then have another check up......soiunds good to me :)
Abby and Sam played with the playdough for a while, Abby did some of her 'schoolwork' (a Disney activity book with wordsearches etc etc) and she helped me make lunch......Sam played with his cars and garage while I packed away all his clothes from the holiday.......
I did some laundry and cleaned up after Charlie....fed the animals......cleaned the kitchen, pottered about...ordered some photographs from Disney....blogged, chatted to Mum on phone.....briefly to Dad.......spoke to the Principal, spoke to the bus driver, spoke to the school again and spoke to Lloyd SEVERAL times :)
Its been a weird day....it's gone fast but I feel like I'm waiting for something to happen......like I can't settle to anything...I miss the noise and chaos of homeschooling and I miss having the children here to talk to, to help, to 'be' with.....they're good company....................
Charlie is wandering about the place......he's happy to have us home!
Now Abigail is playing with the digital thermometer...taking temperatures under my arm and under my tongue......I haven't explained you can stick it up your bum too lol - not sure I'll teach her that yet in case she wants to try it on Sam!!!! And now she is checking my reflexes....OUCH!!!!! Hard to type witha thermometer under your arm...I think Abby is going to be a Doctor.....maybe a Greys Anatomy Doc lol....coz you know that shows real right??????? ;)

bird catcher.............
Abigail......a little einstein..................
Relaxed............
I love this picture...its a little blurred and no one is looking but it reminds me of the feeling that day...we were at MGM Studios and I was in line with Abigail to meet the Little Green Army Man from Toy Story...I looked over and saw Lloyd on the bench with his arm slung behind Susie and chatting with Sam and he just looked so relaxed and happy....content......I wanted to capture that moment!
snapshots of Susie.....
Starbucks.........
random snaps
A few random pics of our holiday........the kids with various characters....Shrek and Fiona (sooooo NOT Cameron Diaz!!!) Oh but Donkey was FAB....he talks to the children and is interactive...he was asking Abigail all kinds of questions......really well done - as was the Shrek 3d ride......
Scooby and Shaggy were fun and asking the girls about the rollercoasters they had been on.....Curious George the monkey was brilliant - he cuddled susie so much he lifted her off her feet!!!
Abigail of course loved meeting Dora the Explorer!
