Wow!!! It's only 10pm and I am EXHAUSTED!!! We have just got home after being at the Magic Kingdom ALL day and ALL evening....we stayed for the fireworks and then strolled through the stores before heading back via the Monorail.....what a great day! I have lots of pictures but no time to add them!!!
The children had a great time and bought themselves lots of souvenirs....Abigail bought an Ariel costume and crown and wand....Susie bought a Minnie Mouse talking toy.......Abby bought a cuddly Winnie the Pooh........Sammy bought a Buzz Lightyear gun and then when we met Buzz for real Sam tried to shoot him :) Great pictures...Oh and Pooh and Tigger kissingt he girls....Susies highlight was a picture with Sleeping Beauty (Princess Aurora) and the handsome Prince Philly!!!! The boys didn't buy much really......but the first thing we bought when we got there were clothes...everyone got a sweatshirt and we bought a few tshirts too - and Disney World throw.......oh and I (of course) found a gorgeous Snow Globe that sings Its a Small World.....
The parade at 3pm was lovely (made me cry!) and Cinderella in the glass carriage was gorgeous! The parade at night was amazing but the fireworks were the best! They went on and on and on.......and were in the shapes of hearts and top hats and stars!!!!
We went on lots of rides and everything too and had breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and supper there :) It was just a wonderful day...but my feet ache and I am glad to be home and going to bed! It rained today....the morning was gorgeous - in fact it was nice until after the parade - around 4pm and then it started raining off and on........but it didn't spoil things and we didn't get very wet.....
The funniest thing, was that in a store a man went up to Lloyd and asked him what part of Canada he was from!!!! Lloyd was gobsmacked!!! We had no idea we had such accents! Too funny!
Christie - the bunnies were changed on Friday.....do they need changing again??? I made the children clean them out before we left....... How did Charlie manage to get into the pantry? Did the door to the house not shut properly??? I bet she had a great time in the house yikes lol! Lloyd said the chickens should have had enough food there to last until we get back.....unfortunately they will keep eating and eating if the food is given to them......yikes.....ration them!!!! If you need to buy any more just let us know and we will give you the money for it when we get back!!!
Well, I am so so tired, so I am going to soak in the bath and drink my cup of tea from my gorgeous new Eeyore mug :) the mugs in the villa were quite small so we wanted to buy some big mugs to use here :)
Tara - you will have a FAB time here :) The villa was really easy to find - they gave really great directions and maps to get here...its not far off the I-4 so really direct to everything.....Once you get used to the roads they are really easy to use....basically the I-4 takes you to everything you need :) We hired our car through Budget......it was very quick and easy to get it at the airport and so far its great......they supply any booster seats etc too......
Kathy - this villa is actually the holiday home of the couple who own it - it's the only one they have and they use it a LOT hence the fact it is decorated nicely and kitted out with everything they need to feel at home.....the stroller and crib had never been used before as they don't have children.....but the house is kitted out with everything for children for guests......we are really happy with it here and would definitely use it again......
As much as I love the weather here and the lack of winter...I would NOT want to live in Florida....its not an attractive place...the trees etc are ugly and scruffy and the sides of the roads etc aren't looked after like Sherwood Park......the weather is great but I couldn't call it home so we will not be moving to Florida....we think we may go to North or South Carolina next year this time and see how we like that.....Lloyd always wanted to live in North Carolina (we've both read far too much Nick Sparks lol) so we may pick that for our winter holiday next year.....
Its so hard to think it is January when we are in t-shirts and shorts...its so weird!
We don't know what we will do tomorrow yet.....although we do have to go shopping for a couple of IMPORTANT things ;)
