Terrible mother lol!

My children (including my wonderful 2 year old lol) are all sat at the table having a big game of POKER!!!! They are playing so great together....I'm sure I should be concerned about gambling addictions and whether its appropriate lol but I'll just sit and enjoy the fact that they are having fun :)

We just had some cinnamon twists...I buy the cinnamon twists from Costco...and we freeze them and then once a week in winter we heat them up as an after school snack...they make the house smell sooooooooo good!!! They are lovely all warm and sticky :)

I have to go to the cold hall tonight for a meeting...I am so not in the mood and really have nothing to share as I still have no response from any businesses....very disappointing.

Laurence doesn't want to go to school tomorrow, so I may let him stay home and say he has a headache from his head injury...maybe I'll give him the option of homeschooling after Christmas....we'll see......he's not particularly happy in school..some days he loves it but other days he just doesn't....but if he comes out of school it needs to be until High School.....

Lol whatever turns you on I guess....have to say a bicycle has never done it for me ;) to be honest though - if he was in his own room then I'm not sure what is criminal about this....but maybe this doesn't have the whole story????? Surely what someone does in their own room is up to them???? Maybe he was so 'into it' that he didn't hear the door??? Weird I know, but criminal??????

What a week!

So all the kids were off school on Monday for the holiday....Tuesday Laurence was off sick and then I had to collect Susie mid morning as she was sick. Wednesday I had Susie sick as she had to see the Doctor.....today I have Susie sick as she had to go into the labs for blood tests and other tests....then we get home and 5 minutes later Lloyd drives up the driveway with Laurence in the car! He hit his head during a soccer match and they were not sure if he was concussed....so he is home on the sofa....

It's amazing.....and what with that and forgotten lunch bags and cell phones going to school that shouldn't so I had to drive in and get that...well we seem to have been in the school a LOT this week!

Still, it was a nnice treat to have lunch with Lloyd and have a cup of tea with him...now he has gone back to work and I won't see him until late tonight :( it was such a nice surprise to see his car coming up the driveway today.

In my thoughts....

An online friend and blog reader is going through a difficult family time right now and I just want to say D you are in my thoughts......I haven't been through this situation myself so have no advice to offer but just wanted to say I am thinking of you.

Feels like a Friday...

....and I have no idea why....

Considering it is a short week because of Mondays holiday, yesterday felt like Thursday. So today feels like a Friday but isn't. Poo!!!

Lloyd went to work late today, so he sat and had coffee with Sam and I this morning......it's always a lovely way to start the day. I'm glad he left later too as there were a few accidents out there because of freezing rain. (For those of you who don't know what freezing rain is, it is when it rains but as soon as it touches the ground/ sidewalks/ cars etc it freezes on contact.......basically roads and sidewalks turn into ice rinks and your windshield wipers can't cope with the thick ice that covers the windshield....your mirrors ice over instantly too.....NASTY!!!! We have only ever driven in freezing rain once and it was awful - we had to pull over fast and try and chisel off the ice...I remember a man stopped his truck by us to check we were ok.....luckily we were on a quiet range road (country lane)

So Susannah has to go for blood work and urinalysis today...so we have to head into town for that later. Abigail wants to get some fabric paint so she can paint on a couple of white t-shirts she has.

I have a meeting to attend tonight at the local hall - for the Christmas party organizers. So far I have not had a response from ANY of the letters I have delivered to stores. I have delivered them to grocery stores, coffee shops, candy stores, home depot, Costco, scrapbook stores, drug stores, little stores at the mall.......endless letters and NO replies!!! :(

Lloyd isn't going to be home until later tonight either....a friend of ours is going through a difficult time in his personal life right now and wants to talk to Lloyd and get some advice. Actually its been quite a year for it! 3 couples we know have been having a difficult time this year - and have all come to us for advice and to talk......I really hope this couple make it.....

Well, I promised Abby we would play cards again, so I am off to do that with her and then get showered and ready to head into town for Susannahs appointment.

A Grandma at last!

He's here!!! born this morning at 4:15 by c-sec. My dd did so amazing. I am so proud of her and he is the most beautiful baby in the world!! Weighed in at 7lbs 15oz and 20 inches, they are calling him Carter. I am so tired!!

So congratulations to Jessica and David and to Val and James - the new Grandparents...and to all the new Aunts and Uncles :) Just wonderful news to wake up to!
