Brothers............
And again, it was next to impossible to try and get a good shot of Sam and Laurence together!!! But at least you can see the fun they had :)
Happy Easter Everyone!!!!!!
Samsam........
Well, I tried to get some pictures of Sam but he always refuses to look at the camera..........and he refuses to pose and he just hates to be in front of the camera.....and I don't have enough patience.....so I didn't get very good ones and I will try again tomorrow!!!!!
I blame his Father...because Lloyd hates having his picture taken too!
Abigail...
Susannah......
Laurence......
Saturday evening...
It is still so windy outside....windy and cold...but it has been gloriously sunny all day which has melted away a lot of the snow despite the cold......more and more grass is showing...we just got back from Sherwood Park and there is NO SNOW there!!! It's amazing...we dropped Chris's friend home and his subdivision is just snow-free! Yet our land still has so much snow!
Lloyd has done so well in the girls bedroom.....he has painted the colour below the border and has steamed off all the disgusting old border......he will paint the top half and then we can add the border...then paint all the trim white and get the bunkbeds and their room will be all girly and lovely.....
We had to go in to town to get Chris after the movies...he and his friend went to see Blades of Glory.....before we picked him up we took the others to Dairy Queen for blizzards YUM!!! A blizzard is a cross between a really thick milk shake and ice cream....and you can choose the flavour and the 'stuff' they put in it :) I had chocolate chip cookie dough mmmmmmmm
Lloyd and Sam shared a cheery cheesequake.......Susie picked a cone (she always does) and I'm not sure what Laurie and Abby had - but they were green.........
I'm tired tonight....I've thrown some laundry in to be washed but stupidly I forgot to switch the drier on yesterday so the clothes sat in there wet all night......
Easter tomorrow...I need to get the chicken out of the freezer....we still haven't made the Easter treats we planned to make....I got a new recipe for hot cross buns that I wnat to try for tomorrow - and I ahve to fill all the plastic eggs ready for the egg hunt tomorrow.............
I want to upload some more pictures too.....

A sexless marriage - part 2
Poprocks.....colleen has an interesting use for these........lets just say they could be her DH's favourite candy lol! And having met Colleen a few times I am SHOCKED lol.....just SHOCKED! :) She seems such a 'nice' girl ;)
I agree with your comments on lack of sex Colleen....we haven't tried the poprock candy yet......but Nutella is a popular choice here ;) And extra strong mints ;) Back home they sell very VERY strong mints that seem to have a nice effect (lol) The British Import store here sells them lol!
And my Mother and Mother In Law read this blog so maybe I should change the subject lol!

Scraparama is an all day scrapbooking crop - from 10am until 9pm (although you don't have to stay the whole day if you don't want to). It's $10 for a table for the day...you come along with any supplies you have and just spend the day scrapbooking, chatting, eating, laughing etc etc........Christie is planning to work on some mini albums and 'creations' rather than just scrapbooking...and some people make cards while others simply scrapbook.....
I don't think there will be any supplies for sale there.....I plan to go to the scrapbook store one day this week to stock up with things I need....or I may take a break from the crop to pop into town for a few things during the day.....
It is being held at St Luke Catholic School in South Cooking Lake (drive down RR 222 and turn left towards South Cooking Lake...the school is behind the fire hall - you can't miss it!!! All of the money goes to the school....its a fundraiser for the parent council....
I have plenty of spare cardstock, cutters etc you can use so just rbing some photos, scissors maybe......or pop to the scrapbook store in town and maybe pick up one of their kits.......
I can teach you to make an explosion box or coffee filter album or how to alter a jar or something...maybe a Mothers Day gift you could make? A bragbook for Grandparents? Just bring some pictures you'd like to scrapbook!
It is from 10am until 9pm and I can reserve a table for you if you'd like one......I am not sure if I will stay the WHOLE time but probably most of it :)
They say to bring something for your lunch/ supper and also a snack to share......but there is a local store in the village...a pizza restaurant.....liquor store (lol) so places you can get food if you wish - the Esso garage isn't far either and they do take-out....
I plan to get there for 10am and see how it goes......
I can bring plenty of supplies if you want to come along and see if you like scrapbooking...I figure if you only have time or motivation to make a Mothers Day card and maybe a little mini tag book or explosion box then its well worth $10 for the company, food and time :)
This week I plan to get some pictures printed at Costco....buy some more plain cardstock and some adhesive and thats about it......all you need to get started is adhesive, some cardstock and some pictures....everything else is extra :)
Colleen - did you know Parentink are starting a drop in like the one in SP but its in South Cooking Lake for the rural areas...they also do one at Antler Lake.....the one here starts in 2 weeks time and we will be there :) Abigail goes to preschool here now too and I am just LOVING that they do all of these activities here in the rural area now :)
If you ahve any more questions let me know and if you wnat a table booked, let me know too and I will book it on Tuesday!

Saturday
Its a gorgeous sunny day today but cold.....Chris slept over at his friends in town yesterday..they are going to the movies today - Chris's treat as he has some free passes he earned at the library last year when he was a volunteer....
Lloyd has taken Susie out this morning and they have to pick up some more paint for the bedroom because the tin that was in the workshop all winter got ruined.....he also needs a steamer because we can'g get the horrid 80's style sports border off of the wall.....
Laurie and I just tidied the kitchen.....Sam and Abigail are playing downstairs...I caught up on a few emails....Lloyds Mom phoned him to say Happy Easter.....
Thats our day so far...it's 11am...I;m not dressed yet so I am thankful the webcam isn't on ;)
Lloyd seems to think that Derek will start the bathroom reno's in aweek or two.....YIKES....chaos for a few weeks, an extra person living at the house and we will be down to one bathroom that is off the mudroom!!!! Still it will be worth it - please tell me it will be worth it and when I am pullling my hair out in a few weeks becauswe of the dust and dirt and chaos and lack of privacy, please remind me it is worth the chaos for a nice new bathroom that doesn't smell like a public bathroom......YUCK I hate our bathrooms....they are so old and were not made very well - the guy in the house did it himself and they didn't cut tile around the toilet...instead they just filled it with extra grout which over the years has cracked and is full of pee and god knows what and smells so bad and is IMPOSSIBLE to get clean :( The baseboards don't reach the floor which means water (and pee YUCK) can get underneath and is impossible to clean properly......the bath is a yucky old grey thing...........and the taps are this brassy stuff that is all rusty and has these plastic clear handles..the sinks are all cracked badly.......oh boy our bathrooms are grim.....I will take before and after pictures......I LOVE baths and I hate not having a nice bathroom to relax in........I don't want a jazzy jetted tub or anything big or super duper...I want an extra-short bath tub with a lovely sloping back........one that I can soak in without struggling to stay above water.....something comfortable and relaxing......a nice white suite with a one piece toilet that makes cleaning much easier.....and we are having a big window put in, so I can soak in the bath and look out at the fields.....
Laurie is making me a cup of coffee :) and then we are going to make chocolate crispy cake nests and put mni eggs in them :)
But first I need to go and shower and get dressed....so so lazy today :)
