I really like The Script...hope they come to Edmonton soon.....and Hedley - they have an album out soon so they will hopefully tour next year - hopefully here!!  :)

Art journal page I'm working on....

This is an art journal page I'm working on...my art journal pages give me practice on faces, hair and lettering before I go ahead on a canvas.  I like this girl and how she came out.  I ran out of time though and so she isn't finished, but I plan to write in white pen on her hair....This girl is just done with Sharpies, and on canvas she would be done with acrylics and fine brushes.  

I had fun with her this morning though.  Sam was working on one in his journal at the same time and we were discussing famous artists and which famous artists through history were male.  he really enjoys art and LOVES taking art classes with me.  I love seeing him learn techniques that have taken me DECADES!!!  His art journals and canvases are soooo wonderful and he is so proud of them :)  

I met with my friend Thanh today and she mentioned that a group of her friends meet and share skills to teach their children - trading experience.  One teaches the children photography, another teaches music etc....and so she asked if I would be interested in teaching art.  

I think this is so true :)
