Jasper also sat and watched us and then Lloyd found a dead mouse so gave it to Jasper to 'kill' and he spent about an hour 'killing' this already-dead mouse....then, exhausted he curled up by the garage and watched from a safe distance :)

Charlie Barley...

I always call Charlie 'Charlie-Barley' and now Sam does too :) Charlie was 'helping' us empty the barn this afternoon :)

It fills up fast!

It looked so big when it was empty, but it is already quite full and we have so much more to put in it. It is nice to see the barn empty and to know that in two more weeks the whole barn will be gone - roof ripped off, walls pulled down....GONE!!!!! Its such an ugly building and it will be nice to have all that extra space and we can tidy up outside (at least until the builders arrive to make more mess (sigh)

This old 'barn' or shed or whatever it is meant to be (used to be a stable too) is where we have been throwing 'stuff' for the last year - anything broken and unwanted was thrown in there so its been a bit of a mess!

The bin arrives.....finally

Last time we ordered the bin we had to cancel because of a meeting with the architect, so we rebooked for this weekend - so yesterday the bin was delivered and tonight we started to fill it....oh the fun!!!

Just have to say that I found your comment on snow arriving in 8 weeks a little uncalled for ;) Pessimist!!! So now if we ARE knee deep in snow for Halloween I will know who to come looking for!!!!!

Still can't post....

I still can't seem to write about how I feel today - about how happy and grateful and lucky and again so very very grateful for today.....

So I am going to avoid writing about it today and just post my normal 'fluff'.....

I just hope that a few of my good deeds from today go a little way towards repaying 'life' for my continued good luck.....

First two things you see when you wake up: The ceiling. Sam snuggled beside me - most often actually IN my arm pit!

First two things you touch when you wake up: Sam (to move him OUT of my arm pit! My cup of coffee beside the bed. (weekdays its ina thermal mug as Lloyd makes it before he leaves for work. Weekends its in my Grumpy mug)


First two things you do when get out of bed: pee. wash my hands


First two things you eat in the morning: I drink my coffee and then around 11am usually, I will eat breakfast - lately its been Raisin bran...weekends Lloyd makes me marmalade on toast....yesterday I had pancakes at breakfast with Val and Christie.


First two places you ride/drive/walk/bike to in the morning: I tend not to go anywhere before noon - I am sooooooo NOT a morning person! Thursdays I go to breakfast with Val and Christie :) That is definitely worth getting up early for :)
