We have been out every day this week and haven't done much 'school work' really....but I'm sure a lot of learning took place! Certainly a lot of menu reading took place as we ate out every day!!! Lunch at Smittys on Monday with Jennifer and Soleil. A always chooses her own meals now and orders for herself so I leave her to it!
Tuesday S started his new preschool class in the afternoon, so A got to choose an activity for two hours. I suggested bowling or going to a new bead store to make a necklace - she chose the garden centre to choose a plant! She chose the most gorgeous Gerber Daisy in a salmon pink colour! We had coffee and cake by the fish pond and A also helped me choose some bee friendly Perennial flower seeds.
Wednesday we went out for lunch with Val and then went to the thrift store with Chris for a costume for his play Pinocchio...it's a pantomime so he is playing Mrs Gipetto.
Thursday my friend Tess came over for the day and we took a walk with our cameras. A also drew a picture of the owls we saw at the Raptor Centre (I will photograph it and add this) and wrote a thank you letter to the centre to send to the centre. It's the first chance we have had really.
Friday we were supposed to go the science centre but I wasn't feeling well so we cancelled and met Val in town instead and took a walk around Broadmoor Lake then we went to the mall for lunch and had ice cream afterwards :)
A has done quite a bit of drawing and colouring this week, some crafts, and spent some time on the computer. We also bought a Leapster from a lady on LP with 8 games so A played on that last night!
A has sent some Emails to her Dad and has added to her blog. She's watered her plants and done her chores. The weather has been good so there has been plenty of outside time which is ALWAYS a good thing :)
And her reading has come on in leaps and bounds!! This s not always a good thing as I find her reading over my shoulder when I don't always want her to (lol)
I find her spelling in her emails is really great now!!!! she rarely asks me how to spell words these days - although the words she chooses are still fairly easy words.
A starts drama on Monday. She is excited about that.
