Lynn - remember this?
Oh wow this song takes me back to being about 10 years old.....and it was an old song then! I used to dance to this in the sitting room - making up dances and singing along with my friend Natasha and (when she came to stay) my cousin Lynn! Its so funny how 25 years later I still remember it word for word........
Sand art....
Feeling blah tonight....
3 days of being relaxed and lazy and scrapbooking non stop has left me feeling a bit blah and lazy....Lloyd is lighting a fire outside and then I am off to sit by the fire for a little bit. Its a lovely sunny evening again :)
Susannah has gone to the movies with a friend and is sleeping over there tonight....the Mom brought me over a big bucket filled with zucchini and beetroots so I can't wait to cook those up tomorrow!
Abigail has been sat at the table doing sand art....filling little bottles with layers of coloured sand....I'll add pics later.
I've sorted out a few things to send off for RAKS for a scrapbooking group I'm on....
I ordered my Dads birthday gift which I'm really happy with.....and his cards are rady to be mailed tomorrow which is great because I am almost always late sending these things off!
Laurie just made everyone a cup of tea :)
No other news....its been a quiet day. Highlight of the day was during dinner when the phone rang and the answermachine picked up.......it was Susannahs friend Adam and his message was hilarious because he sang it all and it went on and on and on about how he's Adam, Adam,Adam, Adam and how he knows Susie knows his number etc lol! Very funny!
Tomorrow is going to be the only hot day until the weekend...all the week is going to be nice but not HOT so we were going to go to the lake again but now Suse won't be back until lunchtime at the earliest so I'm not sure what we'll do - and its double stamp day at the scrapbook store so maybe I should run in to there and get a few things to get the double stamps......I have a full card so have $10 off of whatever I get anyway.....but I'm not sure I need anything so I'm not sure if I can be bothered...
Oh I feel so blah lol! I should go for a run! Maybe that will wake me up a bit!

Some of you may remember that last year I posted (here and on LP) about the huge hike in prices at the Pumpkin Festival at The Prairie Gardens at Bon Accord.....they ahd put the prices up by something like $15 a family!!! I thought it was insane and I was really sad that some families on LP could no longer afford to attend this event....
I wrote a blog post about it and then someone from the Prairie Gardens read my post and left a long comment about it - they even offered my family free tickets so they could personally show us around and show us WHY the cost had gone up.....I declined and asked them to pass the tickets on to a family unable to afford the entry fee.
I just looked up this years entrance fee and I am soooo HAPPY!! They have reduced it back down to $30 a family!!!!!
this is wonderful news and we will definitely be going.....it is a great event - just isn't worth the extra they wanted last year when it is quite a drive from the city.....
As October weather here can be a real mix of warm or cold, I think they were very unlucky with the cold spell we had last October - those who went said it was cold and muddy.....so maybe they didn't get many people because of the weather...or maybe the price - who knows...
Anyway, if I helped in ANY small way to get the price reduced for this year then I am just so happy. To me it just makes sensible marketing practice to lower the cost and get more people through the gates than to outprice yourself like they did last year!
I am happy :)
