This past weekend the children went to Lloyds house....but Laurence chose to go to his friends house instead....so he went off to the twins place on Friday night. I was originally going to Canmore for the weekend, but with my surgery last week, and stitches in my face, and then a cold all weekend, I decided not to bother. Good thing I didn't go, because that area got 25cm of fresh snow over the weekend!! Crazy!!
I felt crappy all weekend! Friday night I felt soooo miserable :( I went to Save On Foods for a few groceries. Called into Goodwill to look around. Got myself a dvd and some Indian food to hopefully kill off my germs then came home to rest.
On Saturday I felt equally crappy and when I feel crappy I feel lonely. What is worse is that I had to turn down so many lovely invites :( Despite going to be away all weekend, I had invites to go out all weekend. JoAnne invited me to a birthday dinner on the Friday night, and to join her at the Leduc Rodeo on Saturday afternoon. Then I was hoping to go out on Saturday night with Samantha and watch The Mishaps at Caffreys with Ki, Coreena and Melissa.
In the end I asked Laurence to come home and keep me company (how pathetic am I lol) and took him out for dinner at Milestones because I knew he wouldn't mind my cold and germs or my stitches lol....and bribed him with the offer of taking him clothes shopping!!
He was quite happy to come home though - he loves driving and he likes going out for dinner somewhere nice!! We stayed up Saturday night and watched 'Love and Other Drugs' - turns out there were rather a lot of scenes with Anne Hathaways boobs in them...so he was more than happy....lol!!! One fifteen year old easily pleased ;)
Sunday we got up and headed to Rickys Grill in Millwoods for brunch - I had the Billberry Savoury White chocolate scones which were DELICIOUS!!! Not too sweet. Just perfect!!! omg!!
Then we headed to South Edmonton Common to shop for Laurences Summer clothing...he got himself jeans, tshirts etc etc....and I got my Mothers Day gift - an Instax Mini camera. It's like the old fashioned Polaroid camera than produces an instant picture - except the picture is the size of a credit card :) I LOVE it :) Perfect for journaling :)
Each film only takes 10 pictures though :( and I've used up a whole film already...sigh...
After South Ed Common we headed to my Tanning Salon....I only have a few sessions left and then I'm done.....so sad. I have LOVED my time there!!! I will really miss relaxing there and how good it feels to be bronzed!!! Hurry up Summer - I need a top up!!!! Even if it won't be all over any more ;)
