Your clues have me totally puzzled and excited Christie!
As for the beaches...I am sure they are open - the weather has been lovely...it gets colder at night I guess but only to sweater weather....daytime is sunny and t-shirt/ shorts weather.....we were going to head to the beach for my birthday but they had a big Pirate festival on called Gasperilla or something??????? (I thought of Susan!!) And it is like New Orleans during Mardi Gras - show your boobs for necklaces lol and lots of drinking and trouble and hoardes of crowds......so e stayed away.......we have a free day on Thursday so we may go to the beach then but as we will be back in 2 years I don't feel in so much of a rush to fit everything in!
I would think they only close the beaches during hurricane season.....
This morning we had a lovely lazy morning.....slept in and then I relaxed out on the patio while Lloyd and the children spent the morning in the pool......it was lovely watching them having so much fun with Lloyd.....he kept chasing the boys and dunking them under and then picking the girls up and throwing them high in the air so they splashed into the pool........I just sunbathed :) It was heavenly.......
After lunch we went to Downtown Disney to do some shopping.....Laurie and Chris had fun in the Lego Centre....we strolled around the different stores, took lots of pictures by the various statues....and the children played in this BRILLIANT Fantasia water fountain....its in the sidewalk and you just never know where the water will shoot up next so they were running through not knowing if they would get soaked or not......and all around are statues of the mops from Fantasia......
For dinner we went to The Rainforest Cafe.....I've been in the ones back in the UK but the children hadn't........it was WONDERFUL.....food was great.....I had the crabcakes.....YUM!!! We were sat under a HUGE toadstool and all around us were gorillas and elephants and tropical fish.......water was running through the trees and there were the sounds of the rainforest...every 16 minutes the elephants and gorillas MOVE and makes noise.....and every 20 minutes or so there is thunder and lightening!!!! Sam didn't like that!!
It was my birthday treat to go there for dinner and it was so great! For dessert I ordered a Volcano....and as they carry it through the restaurant all the staff yell VOLCANO!!!! It is a HUGE tower of chocolate brownie, ice cream, cream and fudge sauce and caramel sauce......OMG it was good.......4 of us shared it and we still felt sick after eating it...and it came topped with a sparkler thingy to keep.....I wanted it but so did Susie...and then the waitress came out with extras so we could have one each! I have a ton of photos!!!!
After Downtown Disney, we drove over to Florida Mall again to buy an extra suitcase...we have bought so much stuff to take back with us we knew we'd need an extra case but we may even need two! We went into Dylans Candy store again and I bought some Razzles for Lloyd...we have never tried them but we saw them on the movie '13 going on 30' and wanted to try them.......We also went to the M&M World store and bought a box of M&M's.....oh and then went to Adrenalina which is an extreme sport store that has a surfing ride in it...for $15. you get 30 minutes to surf on their water surfing ride thingy....it was cool to watch!
Then we went to Bath and Body Works...my Ex MIL introduced me to the delights of this store years ago...I bought a ton of it in New York and then was thrilled that they had a store in Edinburgh.....but then they closed all their stores except in North America....but there isn't one in Edmonton :( so I definitely ahd to go there and stock up on my Warm Vanilla Sugar body cream......you can shop online so check it out....OMG their body creams are sooooooo good and leave you feeling so soft and smelling so great! I bought the body creams, the bath foam and a few other bits and pieces......I may go back again before we leave....it really is THAT good.....
Talking of body stuff.......Lloyd and I shared a Jelly Bath on Friday night....it is the first time he has had one....it was so funny watching him playing with the jelly....letting it run through his hands etc.....like watching Sam playing in his sand box! Those of you who haven't had a jelly bath yet - try one!!!!! They are FAB!!! The bath here in the villa is my dream bath.....its egg shaped and has a lovely slope so you can lie back comfortably.....and its the perfect length for little me....I can rest my feet up and still fit the slope and not sink under the water! Most baths are too long for me to enjoy properly!
Well I am off to sort some more pictures......I will post some when I upload them.....I hope you ahve all had a great day.....Heather - as soon as I have time I will do your weirdness blog thing and tag a few people ;) I do a few of the things you do lol so I don't think you are weird at all ;)
Bye for now!
