Florida Mall....

I did 3 scrapbook layouts this evening while Lloyd pottered around and changed door locks etc...here is one of the pages I did.....I am still working on finishing our Florida album!

I will add pictures of the other pages tomorrow!

In the kitchen sink...

Christie phoned me today while Sam and Abby were busy at the table painting rocks! Needless to say, while I was distracted, Sam made a BIG mess! Susie came to my rescue and bathed him in the kitchen sink to get all the paint off!

From the garden...

A few of the vegetables we 'rescued' from Charlies flab ;) She rolled in the vegetable garden in early summer and killed most of the plants we had put in....but we still managed to get a few things to grow!

All consuming...

I signed up for this nifty thing where I can add all the things I'm consuming - like food and books and music etc etc....and you can see my current consumptions on the right hand side under my list of links :)

And yes today I consumed far too many viva puffs :)

My day.

Well I haven't scrapbooked and I haven't written any letters. I did do three loads of laundry that exhausted me each time. Sam and Abby painted rocks and then Susie bathed Sam in the kitchen sink because he was covered in paint.

I managed to tidy my room and sort the clean laundry out - it doesn't hurt quite as much when walking on carpet.

We were supposed to go to Costco tonight and get the groceries but I just can't so we will leave that for another day.

Christie phoned for a chat this afternoon which was nice - she is busy packing for her trip with Rod next week - hiking in The Wilmore - north of Jasper. It looks beautiful there!!!!

Apart from that I haven't done anything today except eat my way througha box of Viva Puffs. I thought they would help the pain (lol) but they didn't....Hhhmmmm maybe two boxes would help......

Ok I think I will either do one page of scrapbooking or read some of my current book (The Cure for Death by Lightning) which I am REALLY enjoying - I bought the book a year ago at a yard sale and its a signed copy! I just have never found the time to read it but its so good! Canadian novel and one I will send to my Mom to read when I have finished!

still ouch!

My feet are still painful this morning..even sat down they hurt. So far this morning my hands are k and I am not so achey all over but my feet really do hurt. lloyd suggested it could be the vibration from my treadmill.....maybe....I'm doubtful though.

I have no truck today as it ahs gone to the Ford garage to have the lights sorted out for the quad trailer.

No plans for today - just to rest still until this goes. I guess its a good chance to scrapbook and catch up with some letter writing.

Lloyd is still struggling to get the printer to work on the Mac....he keeps getting emails from HP giving suggestions but nothing is working.....I hate not having a printer.

ouch :(

Just got back home from taking Laurie to his sleepover and I am again feeling the way I did yesterday - everything hurts but especially my feet...my hands and fingers......

No idea what this is :(

Going to soak in the bath again as that seemed to help yesterday.

Sunday

I don't feel quite as bad as I did yesterday although my fingers hurt - it hurts to type which is really weird :(

All the children are still miserable and tired.....Chris doesn't feel well so maybe this is something we all have.....some bug getting to everyone....

Today I went on my treadmill but that wasn't a success because of me feeling ill.....then we went out and picked the vegetables that were ready....a few carrots, tomatoes and zucchini...the swede is doing well but isn't quite ready.....

We fed the chickens and pottered about. Its grey and drizzly outside again - looks more like November in England but its quite warm really despite the gloom.

I hate feeling crappy and it is even worse when everyone else in the house is miserable.

Abigail made a purse with me last night - a fun foam purse.......she would do crafts 24 hours a day if we let her!

Lauries friends just called and asked if he could sleep over again tonight......we weren't planning on going into town today but maybe if he goes there then it will ease the arguing here....

Ok - I promise to be a little more cheerful tomorrow...unless I wake up with a bad cold of course lol - I am NEVER happy when I have a cold!

Summer mini album class anyone?

I'm thinking of taking a class at the scrapbook store in town next week - to make a mini album that holds 9 photos- its for your Summer pictures and you can pick your colour scheme....

Its Tuesday 28th from 7pm until 9pm.

Anyone want to join me? I don't know how much the class is - they are often around $15 or $20 per class......

Climbing frame....

The children have LOVED the climbing frame this year - it has had a lot of use...almost daily I would say...I think it was definitely worth buying!

As Sam now has the bigger climbing frame, I emailed my old neighbour and said that we could return her little climbing frame she had loaned is for Sam. She emailed me back and invited me over this week and also offered me a job! She asked if I could help rewrite parts of her website and the e-commerce section with products etc......so I will speak to her about that in the week.

snapshots of a summer evening..

Many evenings lately have been spent out by the fire pit, with cups of tea, marshmallows to roast and NO mosquitoes :) Here are a few snaps from one of the evenings this past week.

Dragonfly delight.....

A pic from yesterday...

Chris took his camera yesterday to the lake so I thought I'd have a look through his pictures and blog a few....but this one is really the only one I can blog - Val I have a few I can send to you of your crew but they aren't great lol - Chris needs to practice a little more and most of his pictures are weird ones of his feet while swinging etc ;) And a few of me ina bathing suit which I'm not sure ANYONE here would want to see lol!

My new cousin!!

I have a new cousin - baby Leah was born on Monday in Dorset, England. I don't think my Uncle Bernard (60) and my Aunt Louise (43-ish) thought they'd have a child together but they got this lovely surprise this year :)

My Nanny Spicer (Dads Mom) is in the pictures...her youngest Grandchild must be almost 30 so I am sure she wasn't expecting to have any more Grandchildren - she has plenty of Great Grandchildren already :)

My Mom bought a gift for the baby while she was visiting here - a little baby set with bootees and hat and bib and little sleeper - all in red and white with Canada on them :)

drizzly and grey and Autumnal.

Yesterday was really nice. Gorgeous weather and we spent the afternoon at the beach...Val and Samantha joined us with their children and all in all it was a great day...we finally got home at 7pm!!!!!! After a dinner of chicken salad and wedges, we went outside and sat out there all evening by the fire....sucha nice evening after a fun day of swimming and playing and chatting at the lake!

Today is completely different. It is grey and drizzly and miserable outside and I am feeling worse and worse - felt a bit achey this morning but I feel so much worse now.....all my joints hurt, I am so cold and have ear ache....I feel all flu-ey.

I am not sure if I have a cold or something coming or if I picked something up in the lake water yesterday, but I don't feel good.

The miserable weather meant we changed our minds about the parade today - there was no way the girls could walk wearing leotards and little skirts. We decided to go to the big yard sale in town that they hold annually at the big garden centre. It was useless though and we were only there 20 minutes - I bought 1 book and a magna doodle and that was it - spent $1.50!!!!

W stopped off at Chapters and had a coffee in Starbucks but I was starting to feel so bad that we grabbed a few things in Safeway and then headed home.

Now, despite the drizzle and greyness outside, Lloyd has taken the 4 youngest down into the woods at the end of the road to chop down trees and bring them back up - he's stocking the wood pile ready for winter so it has time to dry out before the snow falls....

I am going to soak in the bath and hope that helps me feel better. Apart from that, I am not sure what our plans are - Lloyd is making his wonderful butter chicken for dinner tonight and we will probably put the fire on and curl up with a good movie.....

Val, it was so great to see you all yesterday - I really enjoy spending time with your wonderful family and it was nice to have Kayla there to swim with me :)

I hope I didn't give you any germs there!!! I have no idea whats wrong with me but I hope you are all feeling ok!

Oh and other sad news - I think the Hummingbirds have left on their journey South :( they haven't been around the last couple of days :( how depressing!
