Abigail and Sam with all their Grandparents!!

When Lloyds Mom and Dad came to visit for the day, I took the opportunity to take some pictures of Abigail and Sam with All four Grandparents as I don't know when the next chance will be!!! So here they are with my Mom and Dad (Josie and Ken) on the right and Lloyds Mom and Dad (Terry and Chris) on the left.

And a picture of me with Lloyds Mom and Dad - and Abigail not looking too happy with something Sam is doing ;)

Sam today.....

This is Sams schoolwork for today.......an 'Emergency workers' picture he has worked on - my Mom bought it for him while we were in the UK and he worked on it while Abigail did her social work on ' the community'. He has now hung it on the wall in the girls bedroom :)

We missed Tim Hortons!!!!

First thing we did as soon as I got through passport control....immigration (nighmare as they both took forever because of the line ups as three planes landed at the same time and also because of my residency cards) and customs (thankfully I went straight through that as the line ups in there were LONG) and out to Lloyd and the children was hit Timmy's and I had to get a large double double.... :)

Hotel breakfast....

Breakfast in the hotel in Richmond was lovely...it was just a buffet but was delicious - wish we had more time to enjoy it but we were in a rush - I had a 'create your own granola and yogurt followed by the most INCREDIBLE crossiant.....Abigail had 4 fried eggs and then scrambled eggs, bacon too and toast and croissants....juice......it was yummy.....then we had to catch the tube in to central London. The parking lot (car park) for the car just for the day was 14 pounds ($30) !!!!!! the tube at rush hour was crazy busy - and horribly dirty.....and you forget what its like - I used to have to do that daily when I worked in Kingston :( YUCK :(

Hamleys with Aunty Karen.....

We went to London as we had to go to the Canadian Embassy to get travel documents to return to Canada (our residency cards had expired) and as we had some extra time to kill we went to Hamleys - the toy store - and had lunch there. Abby loved playing in the bubbles there too!

My Lloyd

Pictures of My Lloyd that I took to England on my iphone :)

A walk to Nash Priory....

Nash Priory is an old house along the lane from my parents home and the Sunday after I arrived, we took a walk down there with the children and with Lloyds Terry and Chris......I think Abby and Sam thought a Princess lived in the old house ;)

Sitting amid the Snowdrops....

Scenes from my parents garden.......

garden/ backyard...whatever you want to call it......here are some pictures from my Mom and dads English country garden ;) it backs on to fields and Sam and Abigail loved having no snow and being able to play soccer outside each day - and Sam enjoyed being able to feed the badgers and hedgehogs and foxes etc with my Dad with the food scraps they save......Abigail had fun hanging washing on the line which we have never done at home.....

Snowdrops....

Snowdrops flowering both in my Mom and Dads garden AND in the lanes close to their home......

British postbox....

My Sisters very British postbox.....this is just across the road from Louise's house....and along from where my Nephew catches the bus to school.....I just thought it was a great example of a very English looking mailbox ;)

Stonehenge

Day 1 in the UK and on our drive home to my parents house, we stopped off at Stonehenge, which is about half way between Heathrow airport and Yeovil, my hometown. After a 9 hour flight we weren't too tired to fit in a little tourism ;)

Update from Blighty

Just a little update from the other side of the Atlantic....I can't blog properly as I can't upload any pictures or anything and it's frustrating to blog without pictures as I have taken soooo many and all I want to do is add them!!!

Anyway, the renovations were stressing me out so much last week that it was either put me in the psychiatric hospital or send me off to my parents for a holiday......so here I am in England for a few weeks holiday with Sam and Abigail!

I'm missing Lloyd and the older children very very much :( in fact I miss Canada sooooooooo much. It's fun to be back here - and interesting......but yes, I have to admit that I really miss Edmonton and 'familiarity'!!! - I miss all my craft things in the evening and Lloyd - most of all Lloyd :(

But its nice to be back here and have a break from the snow and Sam and Abby are loving being able to play outside in the garden with no coats on and play soccer out there - we've been to the beach and played in the waves and got SOAKED.....we've been to Stonehenge......been shopping, we're off to London for a night this week....lots of visiting...we have Lloyds parents coming tomorrow for the day...

So thats my little update but you'll have to wait for the pictures - I might be able to add some Tuesday night at my Sisters. Lloyd told me to go and buy a Macbook but I think I will just wait until I get home....you can wait that long right????? ;)
