I've signed up for this online workshop over at the Old Lady in a Teenager blog. It's a 5 day workshop but you can take part at your own pace and all you need is a cheapo composition book from Staples/ dollar store or another style notebook....

I love the Old Lady blog and I'm really looking forward to taking this course from Kara - I've read great things about Karas work :)

My wonderful, beautiful friend Tess goes in to hospital tomorrow for an operation and for some tests, and I know she's very frightened and worried, so please everyone keep her in your thoughts and if you have time then pop over to her blog

Finches...

Several of the pictures below were snapped by Lloyds Dad with his camera - including this one of our American Goldfinch and our Purple Finch :) Both regular visitors to our feeders and both have nested here this year. The Goldfinches nested here last year and this year we have two families of them, but this is the first year we have had Purple Finches here.

Momma and Poppa Peep have been busy feeding their baby....funny thing is that their baby is almost as big as them!!! The only way you can tell the difference is that their baby looks 'plumper' from the baby feathers.....I'll try and get a pic of all three of them together for you.

I think this is a plan for the future somewhere - Lloyd is almost finished the treehouse for the kids - the walls are going up and he has the roof to put on and the doors and windows, but then that will be done - we're shingling the whole thing to protect it all which will make it soooo nice for them :)

I think in a couple of years I might work on a project like this one for me somewhere in the woods though - maybe up in the side woods where there is sunlight but peace and quiet too. I think it would be nice :) and maybe a 'girly' place for the girls to go when they want a 'den' instead of the boyish treehouse!!!
