More pictures from Outdoor World....

Bass Pro Outdoor World

On our way down to Canmore, we stopped off at Outdoor World after it was recommended to us by a few people this Summer. We first heard about this place from Val and her family, but since then we've heard a few people rave about this store, so we couldn't drive by without stopping off and seeing for ourselves what it had to offer!

This store is AMAZING!!! It is HUGE!! You could spend hours in there - soooo much to see - and take your camera as there are so many photo opportunities with kids!!!! There is a shooting range for kids, fish that you can watch being fed, there are crafts for kids to do, an ice cream and fudge parlour, coffee shop, toy store, boats and watersports section, atv's, camping equipment, fishing section, home decor, clothing, hunting section, these HUGE real stuffed animals in huge displays that you can have your picture taken with!!! Like a polar bear!!!

We stopped off AGAIN on our way home and by then the brand new Cross Irons Outlet Mall that the store is attached to was open....so if you like shopping, you can walk through the Bass Pro store and in to the HUGE outlet mall which has some other great stores too....it's a HUGE place right off of Hwy 2 close to Airdrie - literally a few minutes South of Airdrie!!! More piccies to follow!

I took 5 kids of all ages - girls and boys and NONE of us were bored!!! Thanks Val for telling us about the store in the first place!!!! We loved it!!!

Montana's revenge!!

Family dinner for Chris's birthday - and the staff sang to him as revenge for my birthday and Susannah's birthday :) Oh doesn't he just look sooooo happy to be there???? :)

Good times :)

Chris turned 16.......

Chris turned (sweet????) 16 a few weeks ago....these pictures were taken of the (bloody awful) cake that Lloyd chose for him....OMG that cake was FUGLY!!!!!! They even managed to spell Chris's name wrong despite Lloyd spelling it for them!! Hahahahahahaha!!!! It was hilarious!!!! Then while Chris was glaring at Susie for something, Abby stole the fugly cake!!! So the pictures are sooooo funny! :) It was a funny time :)

Mr Potato Head..

A colleague of Lloyds gave this Mr Potato Head to Lloyd for Sam and he's been having great fun playing with it :) I took some pictures so Lloyd could send them to his colleague as a thank you!!!

Our new little one.....

We went for ice cream......and came back with a kitten. He doesn't replace Cairo in ANY way, but he HAS put a smile on the childrens faces again and he is the sweetest little kitten! Very cuddly and gentle and playful....happy to cuddle and purr away on your lap for hours...will sleep on you for soooo long and then will happily play with you too....

Perfect for our family it seems! He doesn't like to be alone, and in this house he is rarely alone as there is always someone who wants to play or cuddle! We are still undecided on a name - some call him 'Boots' some call him 'Kitty'.....he doesn't really have a name yet....

Friends staying over :)

When Christie and Sid came to pick 'D' up, they stayed over night - pitching their camper in the front yard!! So much fun - this meant that Abby got to have a sleepover with her friend 'A' (though I'm not sure how much sleep they actually got lol). Sam and Sid had a bubble fight in the kitchen and we all sat by the fire outside....the children all had glow sticks once it got dark too :)

I got to try a 'Mudshake' too!! I won't say what I thought of THAT!! ;) Or what Sid thinks of my cousins name for a cup of tea ;)

Art journaling....

While Christies Daughter D was staying, we did LOTS of art journaling.....all the children made their own art journals....Susannah made her own music themed art journal where each page is to do with the lyrics or title of a song or to do with a band she likes - she is looking forward to taking it to school next week to show her music teacher. She also has one which is for creating pages about love/ boys she likes.....

I sent D home with a ziploc full of supplies to add to her pages so she can continue to get creative when she is inspired....and she had modpodged plenty of pages to keep her going for a while :)

Pictures in the park.....

Just snapped with my iphone...

Val - ignore the apartments etc in the background - I just snapped these fast and obviously with my camera we will pose the kids in better places with nothing ugly in the background!!! Hope this gives you an idea of how pretty the park is though....

Woodbridge Farms Spray Deck....

Christie's Daughter D is staying with us a for a few days while Christie is away travelling and visiting family. We've been having a blast...we seem to have been very busy anyway!! Yesterday the girls had a library class that focused on gaming - of the electronic kind as well as board games - they got to spend time on various game systems, laptops AND time playing games such as Operation! They also got snacks like chips, Twizzlers and pop....sounded like they had a lot of fun and Susie was Emailing friends from the class too :)

After the class we headed to Woodbridge Farms, to the spray deck and park and had a picnic. The weather was lovely, and we had thrown some spare clothes into the bag so it was ok if they wanted to play in the water! D and Sam chose to!!

After the water, we went for a walk and I snapped a few pictures with my iphone to show Val what the park was like and to give her an idea of where we could take some nice Fall pictures in a few weeks!
