Sunday.

On Sunday the children had a nice afternoon out with their Dad.

Susannah helped me paint my bedroom this week - it isn't finished yet - I have only primed the dark wood and it still needs the coat of white gloss, but it's so much nicer with white trim and windows instead of that nasty dark wood! I love the pale blue paint too - it's a robins egg blue called 'Falling Rain'. I then found some new bedding at Homesense that is ULTRA soft and comfy....a 10 piece set with comforter and I just love it :)

I should take some new piccies with my real camera and the flash - these are just snapshots with my iphone and they make the room look really dark lol - it isn't though, it's lovely and light :) New white curtains really lighten it up too :)

Saturday Meme

Accent - English, slight Somerset, touch of Surrey, touch of Stockport (especially when around Samantha), and a little bit of Canadian which is only really noticed by friends and family back home I think....

Booze of choice - Bacardi Breezers, Tia Maria with coke, Baileys with ice, wine with 7Up in it, Becks, various other drinks....lol!!

Chore I hate - Ironing. But I never do that so it doesn't count lol - probably cleaning toilets YUCK!!!

Living Arrangement - I live on my own with my five amazing children, two dogs and two cats in a house that I adore - a pretty cape cod style house with a lovely wrap around porch. I LOVE this home despite the fact that it needs a LOT of work!!! If I am fortunate enough to get to stay here, I will get to all the work that needs to be done eventually :)

Most admired trait - Probably my positive attitude. Maybe...I don't know. Other people would have to answer this...I don't know what I am admired for. Maybe my positive attitude - not much gets me down really

While Sid was here, Sam had fun learning all about fire...what happens when you melt a bottle on the end of a stick etc etc.....and various other fun things that little boys like to do with fire....well supervised of course.....

Catching up with friends....with a surprise visit :)

Yay, my friends Christie and Sid were in Edmonton tonight and they called to see if I had time to meet for coffee, but I had had a lazy movie day with the girls today and wasn't even dressed - we had had a lovely pj day!!! So they came over to our place instead!! We sat out by the fire pit and had smores and snakes on a stick...chatted until after dark when the kids had sparklers...then when it got cold we put the fire out and went inside for tea to warm up and laughed at Susie learning to cut watermelon :)

It was lovely to see them both - see Christies TINY pregnancy belly, and catch up with all their news!!

Vertically Inclined fun!!

On Wednesday night Lloyd took the children to Vertically Inclined to do some indoor rock climbing!!!

While they were out I spent the evening with my friend Samantha! She was keen to use up some coupons from her coupon book which had to be used up by July 1st!! So she booked us in to the Namaste Spa for a free session on this 'Jiggle machine'.....actually I am sure it isn't called a jiggle machine but you stand on it and it shakes your entire body for ten minutes and is supposed to be equivalent to a full body workout. It helps with toning and weightloss!! It was great fun!! I could feel my legs by knees jiggling but that was about it....but what made me laugh was it was positioned right by a window overlooking a parking lot and I thought was hilarious as anyone walking there would have been able to look up and see me shaking hahahaha! And when you talk your voice sounds like an old lady! Samantha and I were giggling like crazy!!!

After that we spent the evening in the bar - Average Joes - using yet another of her coupons on a free meal :) I LOVED that place - what a great place to hang out for an evening!!! They played great music all night - there are pool tables...a friendly crowd and great food....and I enjoyed the cider :)

Later that night samantha and I were talking in the parking lot...and as anyone who knows us knows, when we talk, we TALK...Samantha had left her lights on...and when it was time to leave, her battery was dead!!! So we had to jump start it!! Luckily with my truck and her spark plugs - and our girl power - we had it going in minutes :)

So funny that we talked so much the battery went dead :)
