Snapshots from the last few days...

On Sunday I ended up with a migraine and was sick for a few hours.  Thankfully by mid afternoon I was feeling up to going out - we went to Katies Crossing for ice cream :)
Then we went to Broadmoor Lake for a lovely walk - hence the Fall colour pictures I posted earlier.

Satuday night Laurence had a party with his friends to celebrate living in Canada for ten years:

Abby chatting with me the other night:

Monday I had two dates in one night - one with a man and one with a woman (the fabulous Sharon).  With Sharon I had this yummy Mile-High dessert:

Yesterday morning I had an Eggo waffle (I like them plain)
and I noticed mine had a tiny heart in it:

Yesterday morning we had homeschool gymnastics with friends:

Afterwards we made the most of the great weather and went to the park for a couple of hours.  I ran in to some old friends which was really nice :)

In the evening Susannah and I had to run to Dollarama to get supplies for her science project, and also to Stupidstore to get groceries:

We had fun looking at (playing with) all the Halloween decorations.  Some were really scary and made us jump as they were loud or moved!!  :)

Susannah made chocolate croissants yesterday after school:

Today we are having a quiet day at home and then I have a date tonight with friends
 followed by a meeting:

Monday so far.....

I was awake at 4:30 this morning, and at 5:30 I decided to get up and go downstairs.  I had coffee while watching the sunrise, and every 10 minutes I took a picture.  This is the sun rising behind my house:

The misty morning we welcomed:

We headed to the library for a couple of hours - I finally got the book that I have been wanting for a while - and it's mine to keep :)  I sat and did some art journaling while Abigail picked books and Sam used the computers:

Abigail had French class this afternoon, and luckily there was a homeschool get-together at the park just across from her class - so we met up with them and Sam had a great couple of hours playing.

Home after class, and dinner was ready as I put it in the crockpot this morning.
Chicken stew, with mashed potatoes and stuffing (the kids favourite).

Now I have to go to a meeting at 6pm and then heading out as it is date night with
my wonderful friend :)

Colours of Fall....

Last night we went for a walk around the lake in town, and stopped at the playground for a while.  It was 25c and sooooo lovely!!!  The Fall leaves were stunning!!

Funny mugs....

While we were at the mall yesterday we were window shopping in Hallmark at all their Fall products.  They also have a whole line of funny mugs that I just loved....here are a few of them:

The Royal Order.....

A special day for my beautiful girl...

Lately several people have thought Abigail was a boy.  Despite her frequently wearing pink, and having a very girly face - JUST because she has short hair they think she is Sams brother!  So we decided that getting Abigails ears pierced a year early might help to make her feel more girly and happier about things.  I've been thinking about it for a few weeks and Abigail decided she was ready.

This morning we headed in to town with Susannah, for a girls trip - at Abby's request.  We heaed to Claires at the mall and Abigail selected her earings - a pair of Hello Kitty ones :)

Abby smiled through the whole process and is thrilled with her new pretty ears :)
