A new week :)

My day started as normal...going downstairs to let Rosie out, making a coffee and siting in my big chair while I drink it :) Rosie curled up on the foot stool beside me :)

There is no school here this week - it is Fall Break.  Laurence spent the weekend at his friends house, and Cassie spent the weekend here with us.

Our Monday morning felt more like a Sunday, and we had a very lazy start - lounging about in front of the tv and laughing at the shows - and guessing all the answers to things on the shows...

My hallway in the new house :)
Even Cassie said that this house feels soooo homely and comfortable already :)

Susannah told me last week thatI had made this house very homely and look lovely already :)
That was so lovely to hear :)

Rosie watched tv with us:

Cassie left around lunchtime, and then we headed out to get some groceries and to pop in to Dollarama for a few things - I spotted these gloves which made me laugh out loud:

We stopped in at Walmart for some groceries, came home and made supper...or rather Susannah made supper.  We had the rainbow pasta that we bought at the Italian Centre...we had that in a creamy herb and garlic sauce, with salad and garlic bread:

While Susannah made supper, I was busy next to her boiling sugar...I made a tray of Scottish Tablet/ fudge.  Fudge at the farmers market is yummy but soooooo expensive!!!  So I decided to get the ingredients and make some!!

And now it is evening and I'm cuddled up with Sam.  Susannah has been printing a few things and pottering about.  Abby is on the computer and I will probably play cards with Sam.

doodle time....

I spent time tonight working on the zentangle/ doodle that I started this morning:

My Sunday

My Sunday started with a relaxing morning doing art.
I was in the mood to finish a zentangle I started :

This afternoon we went to Millennium Place.  I am determined to make the most of the Millennium cards we now have.  We went swimming and then the kids all went to the Youth Lounge and Gym.

We didn't leave until the sun was setting:

In the youth lounge I joined in and played foosball....

I got a Holiday London Fog (yum):

I also joined in and played table hockey:

The battle of the sisters:

Home and I had a lovely glass of wine while I caught up on my blog and waited for dinner to be ready....we had sausages cooked in gravy in the crockpot, with crispy roast potatoes, stuffing, brussel sprouts, carrots and yorkshire puddings!!  Mmmmm.

Now I have eaten too much and the wine has gone to my head a little and I feel all sleepy and relaxed.  The wine was a gift from fellow Brave Girl Coreena - and her hubby :)  xx

Lest we forget...

Art Attack....

Watching art videos online and reading The Artists Way....
and enjoying the relaxing experience of creating :)

Love this Strathmore Visual Journal.  The paper is delicious to work on:

Slowly but surely getting my art room how I want it:

Doodling late at night while everyone sleeps:

My Saturday....

My Saturday was lovely.  I woke up and let Rosie outside...made my coffee and sat in the living room to enjoy it....enjoying the nice and quiet morning before anyone else got up:

Rosie wasn't too keen on how cold it was yesterday morning:

We picked Cassie up after her work shift, and then headed to the library for a while.  Abigail stayed at home with Laurence...

Susannah, Cassie and Sam used the wii and played for a while, and I art journaled....

We popped in to Education Station for their 'Neighbourhood Store Day' celebration - we all got cookies and there were lots of toys and games to play with.  I got Sam a little plastic holder thingy for holding a hand of cards while playing.  He finds it hard to sort his cards and hold them without letting everyone else see his cards, so this is ideal :)  He LOVES card games...

We went for a drive out to check the mail box and then on the way home stopped off to take some pictures in the snow....this little guy crossed in front of us....

When we got home, Abigail and Cassie baked an amazing lemon cake,
which we had with yummy jam.  It was excellent :)

The girls watched movies all evening, Sam played on Minecraft...Laurence went to the twins for the night...and I soaked in my fabulous bath for a few hours with a good book and some candles...it was complete bliss :)

Beauty School 101.....Royal Order style....

Today we were invited over to watch J perm T's hair :)
This was some CRAZY fun!!!  J had never permed anyones hair before - thankfully K joined us, who is a hair stylist!!!  :)  L and C also joined us...

While we were in the kitchen, the approx 10 children (???) all went sledding, played with the kittens and piglets, said hi to the llama and goats....played various board games and generally had a great time...I love how well our children get on with each other :)

It was such a fabulous afternoon - so many laughs, good friends, good food and coffee..generally just an amazing time was had by all :)

4. more snow; bloody hell!!
5. I looked out the window today and saw a winter wonderland.
6. my friends ROCK and that's saying something!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to chillaxing at home, tomorrow my plans include going swimming and Sunday, I want to see how the day goes!
