Cake time for Laurences birthday...but the store didn't enclose the promised candles....so all we had were 10 pink and green candles and one tea light :) But Laurie didn't seem to mind :)

Cake time for Laurences birthday...but the store didn't enclose the promised candles....so all we had were 10 pink and green candles and one tea light :) But Laurie didn't seem to mind :)
Saturdays shoot........
The shoot I had yesterday morning was sooooo much fun!!! A family with two little boys who were just the cutest little things...they had a BLAST in the Fall leaves!!!! The morning had started off all foggy and cold but by the time they arrived the fog was lifting and it warmed up enough for the boys to play in the leaves in just sweaters! The ground was wet but Susannah had raked up three bags of Fall leaves for us to use and we had stored them in the workshop so they were nice and dry :)
Compliments from the clients? "We'll never use Sears again!" and "This was sooooo worth it!" (ie they drove a LONG way through fog to come for the shoot!) And they tipped Susannah (my assistant for the day) and she was just soooooo excited!
Its wonderful to have a job you enjoy so much and clients who enjoy it too...they said it was so stress free and fun :)
It was a really great shoot :)

Today is my Son Laurences birthday!!! He is 11 today :)
Last night his two best friends came for a sleep over......they were still awake at 1:30am so I went downstairs (they camp out in the basement for sleepovers!) and told them to turn the lights etc off and get some sleep!
Needless to say this morning we had 4 very sleepy boys here!!! My Mom phoned to say Happy Birthday and then Lloyds Mom phoned............then he opened all his gifts...........then breakfast and then we headed out to the Scarecriw Festival........after that no one was in the mood to eat much (too much junk!) so we just grabbed a bagel each from Tims.....dropped the boys home and then came home and Lloyd went out on the quads with Laurie.................
We are about to have dinner followed by birthday cake and then I think we are planning to sit and watch Hoot...................not sure...........
Bed early for the boys for sure as they are soooooo tired!
I think Laurie had a nice birthday :)
Mud, puddles and fun!
We just got in from going out on our quad bikes...its like +1c outside and raining but it was sooo muych FUN!!!!! Racing through puddles, sliding in mud......we did all of the trails we have now made...through the woods, the tall grasses, the back fields.....around by the pond and the front paddocks.............going over the logs and through the woods was fun......
I was well padded out with two big sweaters, tshirt, winter jacket, gloves, helmet and walking boots.......my hands got cold though :( and we need to get snow-pants (trousers) before long as your legs get cold.........
Great fun :) I'm glad he persuaded me to go out there!

Christie is it weird that I always think of you now when I think of knickers????????

I went to La Senza yesterday and spent a ridiculous amount of money on knickers....I wear thongs and to pay quite that much for quite so little fabric breaks my heart.......
But my knickers were all grey and holey and lately there has been more hole than underwear so I HAD to throw them away and buy new..............
I love buying things in underwear stores though because they wrap it all up so nicely in tissue paper and put them in those posh little gift bags with string or ribbon handles!!! It makes you feel special :)
So now I'm ok for knickers for the next 10 years ;)
Did I buy panties???????????????? NO!!!! Panties are for old men in raincoats to keep in their pockets and sniff lol..................I wear KNICKERS!!!!! ;)

It looks as though Laurie got glassed in the face!! There is a big chunk of glass sticking out!! I have a few pics from my other camera to add later here so watch this space..........the wounds they were doing were really life like......the lighting was so bad for the pics so you can't really see its true effects................
Scarecrow Festival
We took the children to the Scarecrow Festival today at the Agricom...........they had a great time!! It is Laurences 11th birthday today and his teo friends Brett and Scott slept over last night and came with us to the festival...............

BORED!!!!!
I am soooooo BORED!!! My head is still fragile and although I have managed to keep the migraine at bay for two days I can still feel that it is 'there'............I have had two relaxing baths today to try and shift it.......and the rest of the time I have done TOTALLY the wrong thing and been at the computer working on my website......and now I am just incredibly BORED!!!!
Lloyd was supposed to go to our old house to collect some mail on his way home from work but we both forgot which means he had to go out after dinner and he won't be back for a while........normally that would mean he would pick up a treat on his way home but of course I weigh in tomorrow and have already been eating the wrong things this week so I had better not eat junk tonight.........................
So I am just surfing and catching up on blogs and stuff........in between adding things to the website..............
I will be glad when Lloyd gets home and we can curl up and watch a movie.......maybe an early night and watch the rest of Notting Hill in bed................
I did nothing today :( yet I still have this migraine grrrrrrr but at least it isn't bad.....I can cope like this...I haven't had to resort to meds or bed and darkness................
Dinner was jacket potatoes with tuna salad which is kind of my fall-back dinner for lazy days because its so easy!
Susannah raked three bags of leaves for me today! I said I'd give her $2 a bag :) they are in the workshop staying dry for photo shoots ;) She also wrote to her penpal and did some of her workbook....Laurence wrote a story and did some of his workbook.......he and CHris played on the trampoline for ages and he also cycled to the mailbox and got the mail....birthday things for him and also a parcel from my parents (AGAIN!!!) full of goodies for Halloween and more tights and undies and socks etc... Thanks Mum and Dad.............and a Dr Who magazine for Laurie.........
Abigail has been writing a lot today.......she wrote 'I wish Dad would carry me in the Haunted House' and she also made cards for various things..............we also got her to lay down on a huge sheet ofpaper and drew around her and she coloured it in and gave herself chicken pox ;) I took some Christmas pics (below) of Abby in the studio with my little point and shoot............
I got three new bookings for photo shoots today....I have to bring in a new rule that I can only hold dates for 48 hours before booking must be confirmed.......I am running out of available dates before Christmas!
Chris is now looking at the Vietnam War and the hippy revolution!
Susannah wrote a book report this morning..............she also wrote out 'clue cards' and made a treasure hunt for Abigail and Samuel where they had to hunt down dinosaurs............
While I was in the bath this morning Chris brought me up a cup of coffee :) he's an angel! And then this afternoon Laurence made me one :) Then in the late afternoon when I was in the bath Lloyd brought me a cup of tea........am I spoiled or WHAT???? :)
I wonder what mail there was at the old house...it must be all junk mail because everything has been forwarded now...its been a year......if its all junk then I will tell them to just throw away anything in future.........
