Dan thinks Isaac would LOVE the science centre.....they are starting a big dinosaur exhibit in June complete with fossil digs, IMAX movies and hands on fun!

Lego mania.....

I took some of the pictures today and apologies that many aren't great and are blurred etc - I used Dans camera and I don't have a clue how to use it - every picture was coming out blurred or dark and we tried everything but couldn't improve the pictures so they will just have to do!

A few pictures of our day....including Dan having his blood pressure taken and then one of him cycling hard to power a radio, a light and a train....I swear he almost had a heart attack lol - we should have taken him back to have his BP taken again!!!!

Telus World of Science...

Today I took Daniel to the Telus World of Science.....he says 'It's brilliant'....'Its really different and interactive'

It was ok.....once you have been there a couple of times it gets boring...Sam loves the water tables and the bricks room....and it was fun showing Dan things that he hadn't seen before....he took his blood pressure and had a bowel race thing with Abigail.....he smelled butt and armpit but says he couldn't smell a thing!!!! How?????

The Lego exhibit was there - an Egyptian themed exhibit - they had a kids Lego room that Sam loved - he spent ages in there while we all made our names in hieroglyphics.....we had a snack and drink in the cafe and strolled around the gift store (I got a cute gift for Isaac!!!)

Dans favourite thing was the space exhibit because he got to drive a little robot thing on Mars...and he turned himself into an alien!!!!

He also liked the Lego...

We headed home around 2pm and met Susie and Laurie walking from the bus stop...it was pouring with rain so we stopped and gave them a ride the rest of the way.....then we went and got mail and YAY my Creating Keepsakes magazine was there! Woohoo!

so now I will post some piccies of our day!

Tonight is date night but Lloyd and I are taking Dan to West Ed Mall for the evening....to see the Dragon (hopefully its working) and to the British Import Store etc etc.......

So I asked Dan what he would say to his Mom about me...how would he describe me...if she asks what I'm like etc....

He said he thinks of me as his 'Cooler younger Aunt'!!!!! And that he doesn't think of me as being in my thirties!!!!

Did I tell you I loved my Nephew??????? Huh??? huh?????? lol!

Green.......

Everything is greening up so fast now.....the grass was brown just a few days ago but it's as if it changes colour right in front of your eyes.....I just want the leaves out on the trees now and it will feel more like summer :)

Life returns to the garden.....

Here are our day lillies starting to push through......our rhubarb is also doing great and has grown so much in just a week or two! Things are starting to wake up after the winter.....it's amazing to see.....

Tuesday is almost done....

So we went into town this afternoon and Dan went to a music store before coming to meet me in the scrapbook store...not sure what he thought of it all - t was full of women my age spending far too much money on paper and bits of cardboard! But he did say that he had no idea that scrapbooking was quite that big here....but yes it is - more popular than golf!!!

After that we went to the mall and Dan bought us all lunch (thanks Daniel!!) We all had Tacos from Tacotime......Dan had a soft taco and seemed to really enjoy it....we walked down tot he dollar store for a few things (chopsticks!! Dan can't use chopsticks so I plan to teach him!!!)

After that we went to Safeway...Abigail and Sam got free cookies as they always do...and Daniel was AMAZED that they get FREE cookies!!! Abby just walks up to the bakery and requests '2 cookies please' for her and Sam....Dan thought we had to pay for them at the end so I explained that all the grocery stores here give them to the children for free :)

We bought Twinkies for Daniel to try (he loves them) and I bought him and Lloyd a tiramisu mousse thats in a white chocolate cup...for dessert tonight, but Dan ate his as soon as he got home......AND a bag of two-bite B rownies...wow that guy can eat!!! Clare I don't think Canada will be good for Dan as he loves the food too much!!!!

Finally (finally!!!!) we headed home...Lloyd called and we all agreed that none of us were in the mood to go grocery shopping tonight...but the cupboards are BARE...so he grabbed some pizzas from Pizza Hut and a few things from Safeway and came home....

He picked Chris up in SP from his tournament.....Chris is tired but had a great day...

We (disgustingly lol) ate off of paper plates tonight.....how lazy is that??? lol.....but it was Chris's dishwasher/ kitchen duty day and he was tired from playing badminton ALL day so we gave him the day off :)

I have a migraine so I have taken an Imitrex and right now am suffering through the side effects of the Imitrex (not nice)

I have to start work on my Iron Chef contest pieces...at least now I have the supplies...I bought lots of chipboard today :)

I signed up for an envelope swap today at Scrappershaven.ca - I have to fill an envelope with all things to do with Spring.....then send it to the name I am given :) then someone sends to me :)

Lloyd placed a big bar of Fruit and Nut in front of me just now!!!! He must love me lol!

I feel like an Agony Aunt rather than just an Aunt right now...I keep giving Dan advice...mainly things like 'Suck it up, Princess!' and 'Life is too short...'

I am so glad to be in my 30's and to NOT be single...I can't think of anything worse than being 20 again and single.....

Oh and walking through the mall with Dan is an experience....he admires all the clothes of the kids there...high school kids etc...but to me they all look really camp...so Dan tells me that the 'style' right now is to look as gay and camp as possible!!! How strange is that?????? My gay friend Mark used to tell me that he could tell if someone was gay by the way they dress - but if everyone dresses 'gay' then there will be a lot of confusion lol!

Being a surrogate 'mom' to a twenty year old is quite the experience.....it's hilarious and I'm sure I spend the whole time looking at Dan as if he is mad....he's such a girl lol - OMG he's more of a girl than Lloyd!!! He over-analyzes every situation and I'm constantly saying to him...Dan you just need to MOVE ON...let it go and move on!!!!! rotflmao.....I thought it was only women who go on and on lol!

Tomorrow I'm taking Dan to Telus World of Science...he's really looking forward to it.....

Fillin' time.......

Daniel is still asleep so I am filling time here rather than cleaning or doing anything worthwhile :)

Cori BEGGED for some people to do a random facts tag....so I will happily do it.....I am then suppsed to tag 7 people but I never bother doing that part of it......

So here are seven more random facts about me......

1. I have amazingly agile feet and toes...I can spread my toes really wide and use them to do things like turn on taps....hold a pen, pick things up really easily.....this freaks
Lloyd out as he can't spread his toes at all....

2. I can't eat leftovers and I can't eat off someone elses plate.....it grosses me out....

3. I can't think about who Lloyd really is....because if I think about how he is the little boy who used to live in the house behind mine when I was 8, it freaks me out that I do the things I do with him (lol).......he knows this and will tease me about how we used to play tennis and swingball together....

4. I don't find Tom Cruise attractive at all...never have....I've never seen Top Gun and I don't understand any of the hype over Tom Cruise in the past.

5. Watching or listening to people brush their teeth makes me feel sick. Especially when th epaste all foams up...and if someone talks while brushing their teeth??? YUCK!!!!

6. I don't hate anyone.....there are people who drive me nuts and people I prefer not to have in my life, but I don't hate anyone.....I think hate takes too much energy and emotion so why bother? Life is just too short to think about people you can't stand

7. I can't remember being married to someone else or my life before Lloyd...its weird but when I look at pictures of that time.....its like it was someone else...I don't actually remember any of it.....maybe its just not worth remembering......but I find it weird that despite being married for 10 years and together for 12 years, I don't really remember any of it......

So there ya go...7 fascinating (yep lol I'm being sarcastic!) facts about Moi!!!!!

......Laurie on the other hand is always ready with a smile for the camera.......quite often he smiles so much it looks silly and has has to calm himself down for the picture!!! :)
