another email about 'the job'....

I came home tonight to another email from my 'boss' asking me to consider the preschool teaching post....that she has some 'ideas' to share with me......

I guess they are panicking now its only a few weeks away.......maybe they should be a little more organized next year.

Isaac, I hope you got the message from Abigail - she sang Happy Birthday to you on your answerphone and wished you a happy birthday from us all....sorry we didn't get to speak to you but I hope that means you were out having lots of fun on your birthday!

Busy day...

Its such a busy day and it isn't over yet - we have to run over to 75th St now with the quads...

Breakfast this morning with Val, Christie and Kayla, and swimming this afternoon with Samantha and Josh......and now out with the quads to get them fixed.

And I haven't written about date night last night either!

But I have to run out now so will write later - hope you have all had a great day!

Sunny Mr Sunflower!!!

Aren't sunflowers just stunning? I have a lot of growing all over the place but these are the only two flowering so far...and I didn't even plant these, they came up from under the bird feeder!

Long grasses in late Summer.....

I love watching these tall grasses get blown around in the wind on a sunny day!

I can understand why the Hummingbirds are attracted to this beautiful flower :) And yes! the hummingbirds are still here - I haven't spotted them as often, but they ARE still around - probably not for much longer though as they left around late August last year....

Signs of Fall.....

I am seeing more and more signs of Fall outside...it seems to be coming very early this year.

RIP.........

My Moms washing machine died today......they did all they could to save it but it breathed its last breath around 6:20pm GMT

There was no great flood, there was no fire....just a noisy death.

And now Mom gets to buy a new washing machine! I told her I have a spare one in my garage but she said that delivery charges may be a little too high ;)

I'm waiting for mine to die.....but it seems to just go on and on....I'd like a new front loading one to match my dryer but I won't buy one until this one gives up the ghost! It doesn't seem to matter what amount of crap I throw in there it just keeps working!

Today Sam received a Happy 3rd Birthday card from my Nan....

...his birthday is January 7th :)

What happened???

I was on the phone to my Mom for a while this morning and then I heard her washing machine getting louder in the background...and then my Mom starts yelling to my Dad 'Ken!!! My machine!!!! What do I do??????' and then she yelled that she had to go and she hung up! So I am picturing her washing machine leaking all over her new kitchen floor! Yikes! Actually I have NO idea what happened so I will call back later and find out!

I am so glad that I am feeling better today - yesterday was much better but today I feel completely better :) the pain has gone from my hands and feet and I am not so tired!

The girls are at the table making paper dolls (great practice for cutting for Abby!) and Sam is colouring.....while the dolls dry (they are gluing them to cardboard to make them sturdy) they are going through the tubs of crayons and pens and sharpening all the pencils, checking they all work.......

Today we don't have plans really - date night tonight is all.....tomorrow we are out all day. Breakfast in the morning, swimming in the afternoon and prep for Chris's party in the evening.....and at some point today or tomorrow I want to get to the scrapbook store - I am out of cardstock.

My house is a mess so today I plan to get that done - with being ill th elast few days nothing has been done and so I need to get back on track!

High School Musical 2

I find this very interesting. At the lake on Friday my two girls mentioned they didn't want to be late home for High School Musical 2. It aired twice on Friday evening and they watched the later showing.

All last week Abigail would come into my room in the morning al excited because it was only (2) more sleeps until High School Musical 2...or however many sleeps it was that day lol!

When it was mentioned at the lake, Val said her Daughters were also very excited to see it - and then a lady walked by as we were talking and said HER Daughter was also very excited and they had had to phone home to check it was being recorded.....

So I knew it was popular here, but I had no idea it was quite SO popular!!!!

When we were at MGM Studios in January we saw the High School Musical parade.....I had never heard of it - Susie knew all about it and was thrilled to see it but we had never heard her mention it before.....

Anyway, it looks as though most of North America is buzzing over this moviie too :)

We treated the girls to the first movie on dvd last week and they haven't stopped watching it, singing it, and playing Barbies/ role playing games about it ever since!!!

One of these days I guess I should watch it and see what all the fuss is about :)

I couldn't geta good picture of this page because the paper is so shiny and glittery! I did this layout this afternoon with some help from people at LP as I couldn't find a picture of the seagulls good enough to use! I want to add some journaling to this page but think I will make it hidden so it doesn't change the simple page.
