Splashpark

We're off to the splashpark today with a few other families.......is it strange that I love it there as much as the kids? I see all these Moms there sat on the grass refusing to get wet. yelling at their kids to stay away with water..."This is a dry zone" they yell........it's a SPLASHPARK duh!!!! I wear my swimsuit and get soaked.....I play with the kids and have a blast! I look like a drowned rat by the end but who cares....

I remember seeing the mother of DD's friend in the local pool one day.........I had been swimming and messing around in the deep end...hair was plastered to my face.......I was flushed...no make up because I was in the pool...and there she was......this Barbie Mom....sat in the shallow water straining to keep her head as high as possible to avoid getting her perfect hair wet, full face of make up (in the pool??????) hair sprayed hair and dainty ear rings.......

Does she call that 'taking her DD swimming'??????????

So anyway, the picnic is packed and the blankets are in the car.......we've packed LOTS of water bottles because its going to be 32c out today.........big bottle of sun cream......hats........and all the water guns and toys.........

Lloyd is working from home today so he will get some peace and quiet while we are out :)

When we get home Abigail wants to go fishing in the pond...which sounds like fun too...she asked if it can be just me and her.........we have (or had) 98 goldfish in there so hopefully we'll catch at least one!
