Last night was the girls dance recital at Festival Place.....Lloyd and I sat in exactly the same seats as last year so it was extra weird to think of how fast the last year had gone since we were sat there last! The preschool class was announced as 'the showstoppers' and they were - everyone laughed and ahhhhhhhed all the way through...they danced to 'Can you feel the love tonight' and 'witch doctor'........and then to the finale song......
Susannah danced to 'Itty Bitty' which was just brilliant and they threw up their hats at the end of the song :) her other dance was to 'Hit me up'........
The recital was so good - all the girls worked so hard......and part way through a young improvisation group came on...they were called Overacting Imaginations and they are performing soon at the Dow centre in Fort Sask. They were GREAT!!!! Well worth going to see! Imp\rov always amazes me - the way they think so fast!
Also in the second half of the show, a local band called (something) priority - lol sorry I forgot their name!!! They performed two songs - they are about to release a CD and they were great - Lloyd was really impressed with the guitarists and I thought the singer had a really great voice!
All in all it was a great evening......at the end the girls were each presented with their certificates for the year and a HUGE bag of candy as a gift!!! It was lovely!!!
Susannah isn't sure if she wants to dance next year - she may do Girl Guides instead....so we may not be there next year!
Its such a shame that they run girl guides and dance calss on the same night at the same time here :( How crazy is that?
