Sam woke up this morning and stood up to look out of the window - he said 'SNOW!' but I figured it was just frost....so I got up to look and he was right! There was a dusting of snow on the garage roof.
It was gone soon after though.
This morning we wrapped up and went outside for a walk...we picked leaves for some craft activities and talked about Fall...saw some ducks on the pond and watched them fly off.....looked at some fresh gopher holes and talked about animals and winter....it was nice :) Sam had fun and was thrilled that Cairo and Jasper, our cats, came with us for the entire walk! Funny cats!
At the end of the walk Amber and Rosie joined us and we went back into the woods with them for a while and threw some sticks etc....then we came inside to warm up....
Sam and Abigail had great fun doing leaf rubbing, leaf printing and making people and creatures out of the leaves. Abigail also enjoyed mixing all the colours to get the right shade for her designs....she says she wants to be an artist when she is older.
Sam and Abby have had lunch arnd are now playing upstairs - they did have a picnic laid out on a blanket up there, with teddies etc joining them...but I'm not sure what they are playing now.
Abigail should have gone to school this morning. We packed her bag ready in case she wanted to go, but she didn't....she said she wants to go to grade one next year but this year she wants to stay home with Sam and do math and other things.....so tonight Lloyd and I will pop over to Scholars Choice for some ideas and resources...
I have to say, Abigail seems so much more relaxed and happy today.....she isn't close to tears like she has been....it's nice to see...
