Today was gorgeous +7c in town and so we decided we just couldn't waste it! After running to the school with something for Susannah, we headed into town. WE had lunch out and then went to Broadmoor Lake and Abigail got to try out her new ice skates on the pond. When we got there we had the whole pond to ourselves, but while there a few people arrived - all with girls Abigails age :) It was nice watching the girls skating around, and I think having the other girls there gave Abby a lot of confidence. (Mom and Dad - you will recognise this pond probably as it is where the Canada Day Festival is held - where they have canoe rides etc)
Sam had a blast - we couldn't find him any skates in his size at the mall, so he just skated around in his shoes but was so happy to be able to play outside again after so long!
I have some video that I will add later. The pictures are not that great as they were taken with the camcorder.
It was so lovely outside and everyone we met was in such high spirits because of the weather :)
We stopped off somewhere on the way home and the parking lot was YUCKY...all the snow is melting fast and is sloppy and messy - I got through a LOT of washer fluid on the way home!!!
