I taught my first 'Steampunk art' class this week and I really enjoyed it!! Abigail and I spent Wednesday and headed to the Reuse centre, to Home depot, Michaels etc etc and we collected all kinds of bits and pieces for the class. It was a really fun class to put together!!
Students could choose to decorate canvas, box, tin, birdhouse...or create a steampunk object from the items in the baskets on the table!! I was so impressed with the works of art by the end of the class!!

Of course a few of the children saw the bird houses and just got carried away with their love of paint and colour - and birdhouses - and just decorated with their own style and flair - and that was fine too - that is what our classes are all about!! Having fun with art!!! Creating your own style and loving art!!
I was thrilled with one of my little boys from the classes brought me his art journal to show me though - he was so proud of it and has been doing so much in it at home :) awww he was so full of smiles and I it just melted my heart so completely :)
