It's been quite a week all in all! On Wednesday Laurence received a letter of acceptance from SAIT - which means he will be doing their two year diploma program to become a Cake and Pastry chef!!
Then on Thursday Laurence had to be at the Shaw Conference Centre by 8am to help prepare the menu for the luncheon and awards ceremony that day!!
The awards ceremony was MC'ed by Bridget Ryan from City TV's breakfast show and was wonderful! We were served the same menu as the students had prepared for the competition - and it was delicious! Soooo good!!
Laurences team won bronze which is fabulous and also means that his school automatically gets a place in the competition next year!!
Congratulations Laurence!! This was also the first time I had seen him in his Chefs overalls and hat. He looked so smart!! :) So professional :)
