Penis plants and disappearing underwear.....
It's been a good day. Firstly I woke up this morning to find my underwear had vanished during the night.........now, I'd like to think it is because my arse is so small they just 'slipped off' ...sadly no.........and was it because Lloyd just couldn't control himself in the night???????? NO! Once he's asleep, he's asleep (sigh!)
No, at some point during the night my underwear must have been driving me nuts so I must have taken it off and thrown it on the floor but not woken up! How do I do that?????????
Once I was up and dressed, I headed off to pick Christie up from her house.....then we went to Ikea and had breakfast (where else can you get a cooked breakfast for one dollar????????? I 'treated' CHristie to breakfast lol..which sounds great until you remember it was all of a dollar!!!!! lol! big spender!!!
The sausages were really nice..and although the croissant didn't look great, it tasted good! the cubed potatoes (what are they called??) were great too! Egg was a little watery.....and portions were tiny! But it was nice!
After that we strolled around the store and I managed to fill the bag BUT it only came to $30!!!! Shopping with CHristie is fun......in the plant section she spots this plant and announces to the ENTIRE store that its the 'penis plant'......because it has these penis shaped things shooting out of it lol......and the funny thing is, that plant was called a Lady Jane!!!!!!
I should be used to Christie because last week after breakfast she was outside of the restaurant and starts rubbing the inside of her thigh suggestively lol!!!! OMG I am far too straightlaced and she knows it lol! Too funny!
Then we had another drink before heading to Dollarama and Walmart......Dollarama is such a great store - I love it!!!! I stocke dup on craft supplies and toys etc to keep the kids busy......a washing up bowl fort Sam to use on the floor filled with water.......
(we won't mention the broom and handle I bought that don't actually fit each other lol!)
Walmart for pingpong balls and shuttlecocks (and jelly beans for the jelly bean bingo and jelly bean math we have planned for tomorrow) and then we headed back to CHristies....I got home around 2:30pm I think...not sure......the kids loved the Dime bars (Daim) from Ikea and the little horse shaped chocolates...and the mini cinnamon roll things I bought.......and Abigail and Sam have had great fun with their foam swords......
Right now Abigail has drawn a treasure map and her and Susie are following ti to find the treasure.....they have cushions thrown everywhere to jump on and climb over...........
Chris is making the girls supper...a noodle dish.......and then I have to take them to dance rehearsals........
Lloyd is on his way home...its snowing out - in fact it looks nasty...horrid wet snow that is now settling......
I was on LP for a little while but the people there drive me nuts...one woman in particular anyway......OMG she is so annoying lol.....
Tonight I think I am in the mood to just curl up in front of the fire and watch junk on tv....... :) Two more days and we will have nice CLEAN leather sofas to sit on.......no more disgusting, dusty, milk stained fabric sofas!!!! With fabric it doesn't seem to matter how often you clean them or wash the covers or anything, with kids they are covered in 'stuff' and dust within seconds.........
Leather can be wiped off! I can't wait!

Today, tomorrow......this week...
Today I cleaned out all the drawers and cupboards in my bathroom and bedroom...threw out so much 'stuff'...and tonight we threw out almost all of those 'bits'...you now the small things that clutter up junk drawers??? well its GONE
This afternoon was too nice to be indoors...
And my kids were outside ALL day which was just so nice :) Yay Spring is here (although we have winter storm warnings for tomorrow POO)
Tomorrow I'm having breakfast with CHristie at Ikea...then a little shopping maybe....maybe Dollarama (????Christie???) and then home ....the girls have rehearsals for their dance recital.......
Wednesday...swimming and in the evening optometrist/ hair appts......so I guess its not date night this week lol Susies friend may be sleeping over and joining us to go swimming...in fact the boys might be meeting friends at the pool too.........
Thursday - sofas being delivered and depending on what time that happens we will do something else........maybe I will take Susie to the scrapbook stores in Leduc to have a look around....
Friday - the kids have friends coming for sleepovers...not sure what we will do...
weekend - Costco for groceries (3 weeks goes so fast!) and the Farm and Agriculture show which we have free tickets for.....I want to get some pictures of Sam on all the big combines etc......

Review time.......
We watched three new movies this past weekend.......
Open Season...a cute cartoon about a bear and a deer lost in the mountains a few days before hunting season opens.....my favourite scene is when the deer falls into a bin and finds a cup of coffee :) It's not a brilliant movie but it's kind of sweet and easy to watch...the porcupine is very cute :)
Monster House......despite the name, I hadn't expected this movie to be quite so frightening......parts even made me jump! And some of it has an adult theme.....the ending was kind of sad and to be honest I don't feel it did any favours against 'fatism' (ie the fat lady is the evil one.......) I liked the babysitter though - she was cool ;) It's not a great storyline really...could have been so much better....
The Devil Wears Prada.........another ok movie.....maybe you need to be more into shopping and clothes and shoes etc to enjoy this movie......it was ok....I'd watch it again but it isn't great......not sure what all the fuss was about.......
TDWP did bring up the topic of bollocks though......like DH said, the term 'bollocks' is very British......we use that word a lot.....and the British assistant in the movie said 'bollocks'....which made us laugh......you don't hear many canadians use that word...but instead of crap we tend to say bollocks......

Charlie-Barley.......
Its so funny seeing a pig hanging out with the kids.......Charlie is outside whenever we are now...she never wanders off and just wants to be around us.....she sits like adog with her little botty on the floor and watches the kids playing badminton or basketball......her little tail wags like crazy...she just seems so happy to be outside with the children playing :)

So the results are in and I made it through to the second round.....I actually won for my group (group C) but came 4th in all (I'm figuring anyway).........
So really I should be pleased...I haven't scrapbooked for a year or two - only just getting back into it since our Florida trip.....and I have altered only a few things so far.....maybe 4 or 5.......including the contest pieces......so yes I should be pleased.....this is what I wanted...to make it through to round 2......so why do I feel disappointed????? Hmmm maybe its the time of the month or something......maybe its the perfectionist in me.......I don't know....
I came top in my group for goodness sake! I won through to round 2........Yay!
But yes, for some weird reason I feel a bit deflated and not good enough........sigh......
I wonder what the ingredients for round 2 will be.

Refreshed.......
Amazing what a blast of fresh air can do lol.......Lloyd finally persuaded me to go out on the quadbikes with him........it was great fun....rushing through the huge puddles and the slushy snow....splashing water everywhere......I got stuck on mine but Lloyd got me out...then we swapped bikes and he got stuck on mine so I winched him out with his bike.....
It was great fun...but it got cold after a while.....well, my hands got cold! So he took Abigail for a ride and I came into the war...
