Soccer match and car troubles......

The kids have been busy playing soccer outside all evening....Lloyd and Lauire were also trying to solve car issues with Lloyds RC Monster truck............it's been such a lovely evening but the kids are all tired and most are already asleep now!!!!!

Off to relax with Lloyd................goodnight!!

A walk with my little boy..........

While the others were playing soccer outside, Sam and I went for a walk around the front field..........he took his shovel and we walked through the long grass and looked at the flowers and dandelion clocks, the fences and grasses.......

Having fun with the camera................

Trinidad Soca Warriors

The Trinidad and Tobago soccer team made it into the World Cup this year for the first time....so the main theme of the parade was the T & T Soca Warriors!!!

My ex husband is from Trinidad, so my 3 oldest children are partly Trinidadian! I spent 12 years around the culture and loved it all....especially the foods.....Chana Doubles mmmmmm and chicken roti...............sugar cake......Sea Moss YUM!!! I think it's really important that my children grow up knowing about their Fathers country, the foods, music and traditions............I'm really glad we made it to the carnival.................and it was so nice standing next to some Trinidadians in the crowd and listening to their sing-song voices...I whispered to the children how the ladies sounded just like Grandma Patsy.................Christopher spent the whole parade dancing and was even out in the road dancing too.............Susie was just in awe of the costumes......so the girls want to make crowns and costumes one day this week................

The parade continues.................

Stop the music!!!!!!

I thought this was very cute......the little girl sat on the side of the band has her hands over her ears...after an hour or so of being sat there I think she's fed up with the noise!!!

Wining.......Trinidadian style.........

'Wining' pronounced 'Wine-en' or 'wine-in' is Trinidads version of dirty dancing......I thought these girls looked great doing it too....it made me laugh because I remember my ex and also my ex-mother in law trying to teach me to wine many a time! I have never been good at dancing.......they always laughed and said I was too white to wine lol!
