A Sunday stroll at Elk Island Park...

Tired from playing...

Rosie tired out from playing fetch with her ball :)

Egg decorating :)

My latest Goodwill find....

I just love this wicker rocking chair for the porch.  I couldn't resist it :)

Easter Morning...

breakfast, journaling and some Facebook time outside in the sunshine:

Sam joined me and did some journaling.  He practiced handwriting:

And write all kinds of ideas:

Laurence picked music for us and surfed the net:

Our Easter Day!!

I hope you have all had a lovely Easter Day wherever you are!  Ours has been wonderful!!  The Easter Bunny was overly generous with chocolate and toys that he hid throughout the main floor of the house!!  We had cinnamon twists, croissants and jam, juice and coffee for brunch outside on the deck in the GORGEOUS sunshine!!  Sam and I art journaled out there for a long while and then we cleared up and we all sat and painted eggs in the sunshine too :)

Lots of sunbathing and relaxing...playing with Rosie with her ball...then mid afternoon Laurence drove us out to Elk Island Park and we took Rosie for a walk round the Boardwalk and by Astotin Lake.  Sam and Abby played at the playground for a little while...then back home for dinner....they all decided they didn't want the big Easter dinner until tomorrow, as no one is hungry today, so that is what we will do.  Family movie before bed this evening.

I caught the sun already today - our back deck is such an amazing suntrap :)  And all the fresh air has made me sleepy again :)  I do love Easter so much :)  Definitely one of my favourite holidays :)

Oh and best of all - we heard the frogs today for the first time this year!!  Yay - they are awake after their long winter sleep!!  :)  Horny frogs :)  And a big V of geese flew over us this morning and it was a mix of Canada Geese and Snow Geese!!  I didn't know they flew together, so it was very interesting to see them flying together!!  :)

Edited to add:  We finished off today by reading two Springtime books before bed:  'The Velveteen Rabbit', and 'Guess How Much I Love You'......both about Rabbits little ones :)

Perfect end to a perfect day :)
