Sad movie...yummy supper

I sat on the bed this afternoon while sorted out all his paperwork.....and I watched The World Trade Centre.....the movie with Nicholas Cage. It was ok. Typical tearjerker with the pregnant wife thinking her husband was dead in the fallen towers....happy endings of course.....(well, for the people in the movie but not for thousands of others of course).

After the movie the snow had stopped and we decided to head into town for something to eat, so we all got in the truck and went to Kelseys for supper. We have only been there once as a family - and that was in Red Deer and we thought it was useless and were not impressed at all with the food or service. Anyway we thought we'd try it again.

This time we were really impressed with the service AND the food :)

I had the Salmon Salad and it was gorgeous - it had mandarin pieces on it and sesame seeds sprinkled all over it, pieces of mushroom, a big piece of salmon cooked beautifully. The salad was gorgeous and fresh, the broccoli was lovely and crisp! Just yummy!

Chris had ribs and wings...HUGE!!!!!!

It was a nice meal :)

In fact it's been a nice day really :) I'm kind of glad it snowed and stopped us being busy all day :)

And now I am off to soak in the bath with People magazine!!!

So.....

What are you guys doing on this cold snowy blah day?????? (If you are here in Edmonton) And what are you doing if you are elsewhere on this lovely planet of ours?

If you are new to reading this blog of mine (Jacquie, Julie and Ingrid (all in England) have all started to read my blog this week) don't forget that you can leave comments or you can click on 'comments and read what other people have said. You can also click on the archives to the right and can click on the links to the right to read the blogs of other people who often leave comments here :)

Today I am crafting! I am working on a special project I need ready for the Summer. It isn't something I can post pictures of for a long while!

We are all staying home in the warm today - the children are all playing happily together thankfully - the weather seems to have everyone in a kind of giggly mood. Lloyd is doing more work on the bathroom so he is pottering around. The snow is still coming down.

Not the weekend we planned but it's actually kind of nice :) Cosy and everyone is happy :) I think it's nice when you know it isn't gong to last for weeks :)

Susan!

I've just been outside and stuck a couple of needles through Charlie...and while she did squeal quite a bit, I would say that it was fairly easy to get the needles through her skin so maybe pig leather is easier ;)

Ps. pinch that Jakey-boy of yours - I was looking forward to hearing all about the bugs and things at the John Janzen Centre this week!

Pps. I can't believe how big Samantha is now - I love her cute pigtails you did the other day :)

Ppps (ok everyone I WAS joking about Charlie.......I ONLY stuck ONE needle in (lol)

Crazy!

I can't believe how disappointed I am about not being able to clean up dog poo today!!!!

I mean, how crazy is THAT????????

lol!

#$@%*#@!!!!!!!!!!

I think some bugger has toilet papered my yard!!!!! All of it!!! Every last inch!!!! The whole $#@*(&%$#@ 16.08 acres is covered in white toilet paper!!!!!

Well, it had better bloody be toilet paper because if it's bloody snow I swear I am going to go insane!!!!!!

Lloyd is right this second on his blackberry to his friend finding out where in Kelowna his friend lives - he wants to move!!!! He's had enough!!!!

We were going to spend all weekend doing Spring clean up - tidying up the yard, picking up the garbage that shows up after all the snow clears away.....picking up the dog poop, moose poop and pig poop that shows up after the snow clears........setting up the chairs around the fire pit......burning things that had collected that could be burned......just being outside tidying the yard up..........getting the acreage looking nice for visitors.......we had NO snow left really - and it had all melted sooooo slowly that it looked as though we were not even going to get the big flood that we get most years!!! (Although we were a little sad about that as we had bought kits to make boats for the kids so we could build them and then float them on the melt water.....patches of the brown grass were starting to green up in odd places too!!!! and the children were out most days playing soccer and riding their bikes!!!!! It was lovely!

Now the whole acreage looks nice and clean and sparkling white.......under what I am really hoping is a layer of TOILET PAPER!!!!!!!
