And one last post before I switch off.....

Chris was invited over to a friends house today......I know this boys Mom...she used to work in our local store....anyway, he was invited there a few days ago....then yesterday after asking again and again what time he should be there, he found out that he was invited over because his friend had planned a surprise party/ get-together for CHRIS!!!! As a kind of 'welcome to the class' party.........

We were supposed to pick him up at 8pm but at 7:30pm he called to ask if he could sleep over! He is having such a FAB time and says its such a great party......

He stopped at the store on the way to buy some chips and other treats to take and share.,.......and I reminded him on the phone to help tidy up...I said 'It doesn't matter if it's not cool - HELP!!!' He laughed and said 'Yes Mom, EVEN if it's not cool!'

So yes, he has settled in really well at school - even has a girlfriend (and she likes Greys Anatomy!!! How cool is THAT?????)

I'm so happy he is happy and has lots of new friends and so proud they like him enough to hold a party for him!

What else? Lloyd is getting up early and taking Laurie to the Motor show at Northlands tomorrow...he says to not be surprised if he comes home with a Ferrari!!!!
I asked him why not a Lamborghini and he laughed and said they're too expensive!!

lol!

Oooooh other exciting news! I ordered the March kit from Just Like Snowflakes :) I can't wait to get it...it's a mini accordian album in a tin!! I am so so proud of my old friend Lea for being involved in this fabby new company! You can check them out at: http://www.justlikesnowflakes.com/index.html

$20 for this kit is a great price and it comes with everything you need to finish the project.......just think what a GREAT Mothers Day gift this would be!!!!! Fill it with quotes about Mothers or with pictures of the Grandchildren, poems, memories, whatever.....I think it's great!

Goodnight!

Snow much fun..................

Lloyd on my quadbike racing it round in circles and flicking up the snow all over the place! :)

Puddles.....

Sam loved splashing about in all the puddles created by the melt.......his pants (trousers) were soaked!

Dodo thief!!!!!

Susannahs snowgirl stole Samuels dodo this afternoon.....obviously thought it looked tasty!!! Sam was NOT amused though and marched right over and got it back!!!!! Soon it was in the mouth of the rightful owner!!! :)

Susies snowgirl.......

Susannah spent ages this afternoon making and decorating her 'snow girl'.......and of course she wanted to pose beside her for pictures!!!!

Heather!!

I haven't been able to post on your blog for a few days.....but I am reading!!!

Snowpeople..........

Abigails snowman is in the dark outfit and Susannahs snowman is in the pink with the sunflower hands :)

Glorious...........

Hasn't today in Edmonton been just the most glorious day? The sun shone ALL day and the temperature got WAY above freezing to +8c..........people back home may not appreciate how warm that can be but Lloyd and I spent time outside in t-shirts today......snow still on the ground of course but after -20c temps all winter long anything above freezing feels warm......

We spent all day today outside.....I had my chair out on the driveway and sat with a mug of tea for a while soaking in the suns rays.......the children played outside the whole time....building snowmen, making snowballs (this is the only time of year that we have the right kind of 'packing' snow for snowballs and snowmen as the rest of winter the snow is too dry and powdery).............Sam used his spade to dig and crack lumps of ice off of the driveway.......and we all had rides on the sled while it was tied to the back of the quadbike.......

Even the chickens came out for some sunshine!

And all around us we could here the wonderful sound of water dripping....YES the snow was starting to melt :) They say tomorrow will be cold but that the rest of the week will be ABOVE freezing :)

Let the THAW commence!!!!

sledding fun......

We tied the sled to the back of my quad today and pulled the children around the house on it :) They LOVED it! We kept hearing 'AGAIN AGAIN'!!! I had several goes too and it was sooooo much fun! We videoed it too which will be fun to watch! Sam adored it too :)

Dorothy......

Dorothy feeling 'arty'...today she has four flowers in bloom...I will photograph her tomorrow............I talk to her.....Lloyd says she likes the carbon dioxide but I think she just likes to have me talk to her.......I always say goodnight to her......and I often leave the light on for her during the day.....

I see the moon..........

And the moon sees me :)
