Princess Abigail..................

Abigail came straight in from riding the quad bike and put on her Princess dress......you can still see her pink cheeks from the cold :)

Fun on the quads again.........

We went out on the quads for a while this afternoon....just a few laps of the driveway and around the workshop/ barn/ chicken coop and house....Lloyd had made a track for Laurie so we followed that.....Abigail loved it and I have to say so did I!!! I have really missed using the quadbikes.....finally the snow is compacted and hard enough to ride on with them.....

It was cold though...my face was stinging from the cold wind....my cheeks are red now!

Dorothy is BLOOMING marvellous!!!!

My little darling is in full bloom today...one bloom anyway! She's a stunner!

dust EVERYWHERE!!!

My poor house....Derek came here again this morning to do some more sanding.....and my whole house is again covered with a thick film of dust...I have washed the floors and wiped down a lot with a damp cloth but still I keep finding more dust....

Here are two pictures of Derek when he left at lunchtime....it's clear to see how dusty my house is by seeing how dusty he is!

So Lloyd is going to throw up a layer of paint on the ceilings and then the ceilings will be redone and then the walls painted and then we can finally move on to the bathrooms.....I think Derek is going to do those for us too although we have a bathroom company coming out next week to give us a quote for it as well......

They need to invent a dust extractor...not just a vacuum cleaner but the kind of thing that is on all the time and automatically extracts dust from the air.....kind of like a dehumidifier.......it would make my life so much easier!!!

feelin fruity :)

Lloyd keeps feeding me fruit.....when he is home now...he will bring me a banana or something every now and then...he puts it in front of me and just says 'eat that'......

It makes me feel loved and looked after :)

A new truck!

The other day at preschool, Sam fell in love with a truck owned by a little boy there...he so adored that truck it became like his obsession to get at it.....moving chairs to climb up and reach it from the shelf etc and then having a melt down when I said no........

Well today we gave in and got Sam a truck...it's not quite the same ...in fact its a transporter truck...driving cars to and from show rooms......it came with several small cars to go on it....

He LOVES it and hasn't let go of it since we brought it home....and he shrieks if anyone goes near it :) Yikes....I guess thats all part of being 2...he'll learn!

Here are some pics of him with his new truck :)

Oodles of Noodles!!!!!!

Chris loves noodles...those cheap packets of noodles that come with a 'soup mix' and you just add water....so we bought him a bulk box of them today as a treat...I mean there is probably NO nutrition in these whatsoever....and LOTS of sodium no doubt so I wouldn't normally buy them but he did so much to help this morning that he deserved some :)

Abigail had some too and as you can see from the pictures...eating them politely spoils the enjoyment :)

back from town..........

so we ran into town and I got new slippers from La Senza......CK magazine......and some scrapbooking supplies so I am off to soak in the bath with my magazine to inspire me and then will scrapbook all afternoon :)

I love Sundays like this :)

Makeover....

Susannah phoned earlier....her and her friend Cassie are heading to another friends home for the afternoon to play....she warned me that Cassie's sister Amelie has given her a makeover and that I won't recognise her when she gets home...her hair, make up and clothes...she was so happy and excited :)

I'm so happy she has made such good friends in such a short time......I am so glad she is happy and settled at school already.

And now it's Sunday!

Laurence ended up sleeping over at his friend Cody's last night.....so he and Susannah were not home....Abigail curled up in our bed and watched Peter Pan before falling asleep.....Sam fell asleep wqith us on the sofa.....

Lloyd, Chris and I sat and watched The English Patient. I have seen it before and loved it, and I have always wanted Lloyd to see it. As Chris enjoys anything linked to the war, I thought he may enjoy it too.....it's a beautiful movie...desperately sad but I like that because it's more real...sometimes those 'happy ever after' movies just get tiresome......maybe thats why I like Nicholas Sparks novels because someone almost always dies at the end :) they don't often have happy endings :) Even in The Guardian the dog dies!

So we had a lovely lazy Saturday evening watching a beautiful movie......

We've had a lovely lazy morning so far and now we are going out for brunch :) And to buy me new slippers...and a CK magazine......and some supplies for the February challeneg in my scrapbook group.

Then home and Lloyd wants to go for a walk so that will be nice :) Sam loves to be outdoors.
