Happy National Scrapbooking Day everyone :)

Did you all do at least a page today????? Create anything special???? Save some memories for future generations???? I hope all of you that went to crops to celebrate had a wonderful time......I was supposed to be in Jasper this weekend so didn't plan any scrapbooking....but I'm here after all...I think I may scrapbook tonight as Dan and Lloyd are planning to watch Mission Impossible 3 together......

Daniel and I spent much of today driving around a few garage sales in Sherwood Park....I am thrilled with what I got......

We went to the mall for lunch and then headed to the thrift stores to do more shopping....At two different garage sales I found HUGE sacks of Megablocks....one bag was $3 and the other was $2.......so for $5 Sam has sooooooooo many megablocks and I can take them to preschool in the Fall.....I brought them home and washed them all and Dan and Laurie dried them all for Sam!

I got the girls a big bag of Barbie dogs.....little plastic dogs to play with - and a mini Princess Castle for Kelly...and endless Polly Pocket things....Susie had a ton for Christmas but Abigail didn't have any and wanted some....

I got some sunglasses for $1 which I am THRILLED about as I tried a ton on at the mall and hated them all (I look dumb in the trendy huge ones lol) so was really happy to find some that suit me for just $1 :)

I picked up lots of books for the boys too :) All in all a fabby day.

When we got back, Lloyd and Abigail were out - they had gone clothes shopping for Abby.......I am taking Susannah to get hers in 2 weeks time too...then it will be the boys turns......

Lloyd and I drove out to Tofield to get Susie from her birthday party and the children had a bucket with frogs and frogspawn in it, so I think tomorrow we will check for frogspawn in our pond...we want to scoop it out of the flood waters and put it into the pond before it all dries out.......its so sad to see it all dead once the flood waters have gone.....

We drove home via Tim Hortons for coffee....now dinner is in the oven....the boys are on the playstation, Lloyd and Dan are in the sitting room watching Madagascar with Sam and chatting - and Dan is reading my favourite book 'Tuesdays With Morrie'..........the girls are sat on the floor beside me playing with the new toys...they have been doing that since we got home - I LOVE listening to them making up stories with the dolls and dogs etc......Charlie is sunning herself on the porch...so funny :)

I'd better go and check the dinner.......

Go and scrapbook a picture of yourself!!!!!

Saturday...

Sat here in my gorgeous gorgeous robe drinking proper coffee as Lloyd made a pot....listening to my new Snow Patrol cd..........when Dan gets his lazy arse out of bed we are going into town to the thrift store (charity shop) and then to a few garage sales to look for bargains :)

Susie has a birthday party this afternoon out in Tofield....it was supposed to be 2 weeks ago but after the bad snowstorm we had, Tofield was left without electricity so they postponed.....

Tomorrow morning Lloyd and I are taking Dan to the Royal Alberta Museum....then in the afternoon I am making Chicken Chausseur.....Dan has to get ready for his first day of work experience on Monday!

The weather is going to be nice again after today...22 Monday....they say this is going to be Edmontons hottest summer in 50 years - I'd just like to know WHEN this heat is supposed to start lol - it snowed all last night and NO I am not joking! There are a few white patches out there now but most has melted already...

Lloyds friend Parker is supposed to phone any minute - I know he is really looking forward to chatting with him again and hopefully we will then know when he is coming out for a visit - I like to be able to plan.....lots of visitors this summer!!!

Dans new job will be in the West End of Edmonton so we may have to start looking for accommodation that side of the city for him....he says he doesn't want to share a place but I think he needs to be realistic..he can really only afford to pay $600 or so for rent a month so he can't afford a whole apartment to himself and to be honest (as I keep telling him) I think it would be good for him to share a house with one or two others...company...getting to know more people....social life etc etc....I think he will enjoy it...

He's so nervous about things although already in two weeks I have seen a huge change in him - so much confidence coming out and thats great - I think his day alone down town did him so much good - he is now keen to try more and more things and go to more places.....

Dan and I are off to Jasper for the weekend next weekend.....we are sharing a room so he has to put up with my snoring and I have to put up with his lol! Its Mothers Day weekend next weekend....

Have to go get dressed as I have some bargain hunting to do :) Byeeeeeee
