Baking with Susie....

Did I forget to mention that Susie had the day off of school today???? Too funny but when Val turned up, she had given her Son the day off too....oh we are such baaaad parents lol!

So this afternoon while I crafted with paper, glue and scissors, Susannah baked with Abigail and Samuel. They baked cookies and then stuck chocolate chips into the top of them (as opposed to baking them with chips in them)....

They had fun and loved rolling the dough into balls :)

My atc's so far

I'm quite happy with them so far...they don't have to be in until April some time so I am way ahead for me - I'm normally a last minute kind of gal ;)

Still a lot to do on them - lots of embellishing and they have to have the word 'Dragonfly' on them somewhere...but apart from that I am happy :)

I did a few extra in case anyone else signs up for the swap :)

atc progress....

I have been working on my atc's this afternoon.....I haven't done any for ages and this is the first time I've ever had to include a photograph on it.....and its sooo NOT easy......this is like making miniature scrapbook pages.

They have to be 2 1/2 inches X 3 1/2 inches and they have to include a picture of me and my username at scrappershaven.

Jesus in a pickle

You should all trek over to Mindless Musings (link on the right) and see the amazing pickle that has been found in Edmonton.....not to be missed.....

Things are growing.......

day by day things are sprouting.......

Charlie likes wokbox noodles!

Charlie eating yesterdays noodles!

Yesterday Samantha was oddly interested in how fast pigs can eat an adult human being (lol)......extremely so....hmmmm I wonder why she wants to know......she wanted to know if they needed to be chopped up or if it could be whole......and I wondered why she thought I'd know hahahahahahha!!!

It's 8 minutes by the way.....if you're interested ;) but Charlie seems happy with noodles ;)

Hmmmmm...

Do you think we're in for a lot of trouble when she's fifteen?????

A nice surprise :)

This morning I had breakfast with Val - we weren't sure we were going to make it this week - we've both had children off school sick this week, but we did make it and I'm s glad as we had a lovely morning! Well I did (I hope Val did lol).

Val surprised me with a little gift - a very pretty little lady holding a bee skep (traditional bee hive). All in all I take this as a good sign that Val isn't too horrified at the thought of me having hives here :) Abigail seems to think this little lady looks like me (bless her that she thinks I look so young lol...she's my new favourite)! and so I am going to call her Janie and sit her by my computer, and Janie has inspired me to look up some blogs written by beekeepers :)

Thank you Val - it was great to see you this morning!

At the end of breakfast we looked round to find that Sam had gone into the gas station, gone to the big fridges with their heavy doors, picked out a 4 litre bottle of 2% milk and walked out of the store with it lol.....oh my :) He knew I needed milk but I WAS planning on paying for it ;) Funny thing is that when you are only three foot high no one sees you stealing things ;) Maybe I should train him to take more ;)

Louise!!

How can it be March 6th already? All last week your birthday seemed a centuray away and everything was going so slow and nowI missed it!!! I'm so sorry - I seem to notice days and not dates at the moment!

Happy Birthday for yesterday! Did you have a nice day? What did you do? Anything nice? You know what I think would be really nice to do on your birthday? Be able to look outside and see daffodils and crocuses......instead of #$*$#@ SNOW!!!!! lol! We got another 5 cm of snow last night! So I hope yesterday you were able to look out of your kitchen window (or any window) and see Spring flowers somwhere :)

Happy belated birthday wishes.....you join the ranks of those of us who are closer to 40 than 30 ;)
