Friday

Lack of sleep and tiredness from a busy day yesterday resulted in us doing very little today.....we did venture into town to pick up some brochures on Whistler and Langley from a friend. So we had a read through those to get ideas of places to visit when we are there next week. We also ventured to Timmys for chocolate milk and gingerbread men.

We played Countdown (math game) again and A spent time on the computer. We took a walk around our land. Some art supplies found their way to the table at one point (and playdough for S) I noticed A had done a few pages in her workbook too!

Today had no focus though so I am not sure how much was accomplished.

The coming week is looking busy though. The good weather continues and so we have a zoo visit planned, a visit to the pumpkin patch, swimming, a family night out by the lake with a chilli dinner and events for the children, hopefully breakfast with V and of course our flight to Vancouver to look forward to. Plenty to keep A occupied! So I guess I can quit worrying about today!

Friends..

Isn't it amazing how just something as simple as a phone conversation witha friend can make you feel so happy? I just got off the phone from a LONG conversation with Samantha during which we were laughing probably the whole time and our conversations are always like this - the topics change so rapidly and we get distracted and move on to different subjects and then forget how we ended up talking about whatever we are talking about....but she is just so much fun to talk to and I always finish the conversation feeling so happy and good.

I don't see enough of Samantha!

Kids crazy social lives...

At some point between now and tomorrow morning I have to buy a birthday gift for Susies friend. I forgot today.

My Friday - woohoo the weekend is here :)

Friday didn't start out too great - I felt like I got NO sleep.....every little noise was driving me nuts and even ear plugs didn't help me stay asleep :( I woke with a headache and sore throat and felt a little hung over (ok ok my fault for drinking one too many bellini's last night)!

Instead of heading out early to see Samantha, we ended up staying in bed for AGES and watching Martha create Halloween delights.....

I then decluttered my bedroom a bit as all my info and plans for Abigail and homeschooling were piling up everywhere so it was a real mess!

I decided we needed to get out of the house no matter what, and I had to drive by Carmel's house to pick up some brochures she had for me, so we headed into town, picked up the brochures and then headed to Timmys where we sat for ages watching the cars going through the drive through while we ate 12 grain bagels and gingerbread men :)

Then we ran into Blockbusters to see what they ahd in their sale - we always get our dvd's there....previously viewed dvd's are 25% off right now - so I got some for less than $6 each!!!!! Including a Disney Princess Christmas dvd to put away for Abigail for Christmas!!!

Then home and we went for a walk around our yard...down to the road and collected the empty bins that were still there from yesterday.

I've done some laundry (exciting) sorted some books for me to read to Abigail and Samuel over the next few days and tidied round a bit but I don't feel like doing much else...still feel a bit crappy. It's been a nice day though - oh except I managed to break the handle off of my lovely big Grumpy mug! I got it at Disney World, so I'm really sad.

I'm starting to get excited about our holiday next week - this time next week we will be at the airport waiting to board our flight :) woohoo :) Carmel gave me some fabby brochures of things to do in Vancouver and Whistler!!! I'd love to get over to Victoria and take in the Titanic Exhibition there but I'm not sure we will have time - I also hope to get to Vancouver Aquarium!

Last night was date night....Lloyd and I were so tired that I wasn't too bothered about going out, but Lloyd was craving Joeys chicken, so we headed there and I had the Maple Glazed Salmon, golden beets and pasta and the aforementioned FABULOUS Bellini's.

We strolled around Staples for a while looking at office furniture and equipment - there is a chance Lloyd may have to rent a building downtown and kit it out with computers and desks etc...VERY exciting!!!! To see our business name on an office :) I bought a ringbound notebook (lol) and some pink M&M's for breast cancer research.

W came home and pottered about and that was about it!

Joeys is being renovated - they have taken all the pictures from the walls...removed all the upside down tables and everything! Can't wait to see what they do with it - there is a huge sign at the front saying they are open during renovations and that no they are NOT adding an indoor water slide!!! lol!

Thats all my news right now, so I am off to play a math game with Abby-Banana!
