Home......

Another song I love.....and another cd I listen to frequently in the car...I bought it for Lloyd but we both adore Michael Bubles songs....

I love this one....

Josh Groban has such an amazing voice...I have one of his CD's in my car......

how to watch the music videos...

I guess I should say (for those of you who don't use the computer much!) that to watch the videos I've been adding, just click the arrow in the middle of the 'screen' and turn your speakers on :)

My all time favourite song.......

And THIS is my all time favourite song......it reminds me of so many things....so many times with Lloyd....and especially of our time in Scotland.

Edwin Mccains 'I could not ask for more' close your eyes and listen to the words......ignore the video they put with this song.... ;)

I really do have all I've waited for...and I really could not ask for more! This song just sums that up :)

remembering.....

Another favourite ;)

When will I be famous....

Bros....Matt Goss.....I was soooo in love with him! I wrote literally a NOVEL about how we met and fell in love...it was in diary form and so funny and my friends would constantly ask to read the updates lol!

I saw them in concert and threw a rose and my knickers at the stage.......too funny! I had Bros EVERYTHING and even wore the bottle caps on my shoes and had shoes with clocks on them too.....my bedroom walls were COVERED in Matts picture :)

The very very sad thing is though...that I still like the music :( I am BLUSHING with embarrassment! And I still remember all the words....

This is not one of their best songs.....

Time to pack.....

I have to pack away all the homeschool supplies......box them up or throw them away...I have folders and folders of 'ideas', crafts, activities, games, projects and unit studies.......I'm not sure whether to throw them away or hang on to them.......some I can use with Abigail in the next year or so and some I can send into school with the kids.....some I can give away to homeschoolers......I have items from Parents Place to return too......an excuse to drop by the drop-in group when its up and running again!

Now thats something I'd like to do - organize the homeschool group - get it more active.....regulars from a little further afield maybe.......I know on the days I did organize activities, we always got a much bigger turn-out......and I have so many ideas......and it would be so much easier with my own children in school atm.....

Hmmmmmm Cheryl.....I should contact you.

I have to take pics of my curriculum too and sell them on Ebay....I have unused sets of Math U See to sell.....and a few other things.....

And things like our Anne of Green Gables unit study...well I can still do that with Susannah in the summer months......maybe we'll get to PEI for the anniversary after all.

I guess for now I will box everything up and store it all in the workshop.....my magazines I will hang on to as they are full of wonderful ideas for weekends and holidays anyway........like the frog in the jar of ants ;)

Upgrading

Every morning Lloyd leaves a cup of coffee by my bed for when I wake up..for the last few years I've been using my Tim Hortons chunky thermal mug and that did an ok job of keeping my coffee hot until about 10am...although I as it was a smallish mug it was normally empty by 8:30am.....

While on holiday I spotted this gorgeous thermal mug at the Rainforest Cafe...its huge and it works brilliantly.....it keeps the coffee hot until about 12:30pm which is a good thing as it holds a LOT of coffee....so I now have coffee already made for me that lasts ALL morning :) Lloyd says it takes a whole kettle of water to make the coffee for it :)

I took some pictures of it with my old Timmies mug and also beside an 'average' sized mug so you can see how big it is......its not as big as the Timmies 'bucket' but its still big :)

Disney mugs

These are the mugs Lloyd and I bought on holiday......Mine is Eeyore and Lloyds is Tigger......and the Grumpy mug is for my weekend coffee :)

Boogers

Do you think boogers/ bogies are like snowflakes? Do you think every single one is different? Or do you think you could get two the same?

This was the subject on my mind last night................

Lloyd says I don't have enough stress in my life ;)

On the subject of Valentines...

Here is a great website full of cool (and free!) ideas on how to make Valentines Day extra special.....not sure if my url linky thing will work yet but I will try :)

http://holidays.lovingyou.com/valentine/

I know of people who say that Valentines Day is just a Hallmark holiday and that you don't need a special day to celebrate your love..that you can show each other you love each other all year long.....and while I agree to a certain extent, I love that there is that one special day where you are made to THINK about it in a romantic and loving way....it's like a little reminder and an extra excuse to be all slushy and romantic.........Lloyd and I tell and show each other we love each other daily, but to me there is something special about Valentines Day.....

I also spoil the children on Valentines Day with treats and crafts and surprises...this year they will definitely have a surprise in their lunch bags at school.......and a little note...and fun activities to do at home....

Last year we did a whole project on Valentines day.....we studied the history of chocolate and then taste tested different chocolates with varying amounts of cocoa in them.......we looked at the meanings behind different flowers and we looked at how perfumes are made.....we made valentines crafts from the Martha Stewart show (WELL worth watching during Valentine week!), we baked and decorated cookies.......It was the childrens favourite project of the year :) And of course we looked at the different stories of how Valentines Day began.....

The pics above are of last years Valentines Day........

Thoughts of Valentines Day....

We have been working on some Valentine crafts and thinking ahead to February 14th.....do you have anything planned? Do you celebrate Valentines Day? Do you ahve plans?

Lloyd and I always give each other a card - often handmade (his and mine!!! One year he even went to the scrapbook store and bought special supplies to make a card for me AND he remembered to get a customer appreciation card stamped for me!!!) Some years Lloyd will buy a card but he is very picky about the wording :)

We will sometimes give each other a small gift....chocolates or flowers or a cd or something....this year we may not as we just had our holiday and went a bit loopy shopping then!

Sometimes we will go out for a date night and other times we have dinner just the two of us at home and curl up with a movie.....

Here is the card I made for Lloyd a couple of years ago......it's actually a mini book....this year I am working on something a little different but I can't tell you what as Lloyd reads my blog :)
