spiral bound pleasure.............

I decorated one of my little spiral bound notebooks....with some of my leftover ribbon :)

Samsam..........

Sam just LOVES being outside as much as possible...today we were outside for a while...we bated Charlie the pig......and rubbed him with hogdust which gets rid of mites and also eases itching.....he has lost a lot of his hair.....hopefully it will grow back soon! He loved being outside with us all......I cleared up some of the dog poop but that wasn't easy as there is still too much snow and the poop is all wet :(

We hosed out the dog crates which get dusty from the dogs....

Now I am going to make pancakes because I can't be bothered to cook dinner :)

another attempt at a card..........

Here is another card I tried to make but it was useless and also it was really difficult to get a good picture of it! It kind of folds out as you pull the ribbon.....

Kathy!!!

What did you do to your blog? There is nowhere to comment!! Wah...did yoou hate my comments that much????? Did you click the 'do not allow comments' box? What happened???

You sound so 'chipper' about it being Spring that I wanted to post....also could you resend the recipe (again please) because although I got it, it is on the pc which I can't access now! Gggggrrrr I will be so glad to not be flitting from one computer to the next!

Breakfast!

This is what my breakfast looks like Monday - Friday.......it is dry oats and hemp seeds mixed into cold applesauce.......it sounds boring and yucky but it actually tastes VERY YUMMY!

Bad hair days................

Abigail with her hair all static-y on the trampoline....and Chris my TEENAGER who has bad hair days every day and is pleased about it!

Cinderella in her rags........

Here is the costume Susie wore to school for 'Fairytale day'.....sure beats payinga fortune for a Princess dress for one day......AND she was more original because all the other girls DID go as Princesses...so Susie was pleased :)

Cairo.....

Sunning himself on the porch steps......

We may need to replace these steps this year.......we planned to anyway, but no yet....but they are cracking and badly wobbling now....not safe :(

My room :)

This is my new front room/ study/ quiet room :)

I really love that Lloyd can be in my big chair and I DON'T have my back to him any more...and I don't have my back to the window either.....

I'm loving it :)

Geode smashing....

So I bought Laurie a geode the other day...and he had fun smashing it to find the crystals inside......very pretty :) I have several with amethysts inside.....Laurie is thrilled with his....even though he smashed it a little too hard and has lots of little pieces instead or two halves.....

Grafitti artist..................

Sam decided he wanted to jazz up the walls a little with some drawings......he was VERY proud of his creativeness :) Luckily it washed right off!!!!

Email addresses.......

If I chat with you via email then please be aware I no longer have ANY email addresses......or phone numbers (of those people who sent their phone number via email)

Could you please Email me so I can add you to my address book :)

Thank you!

Kathy - I am loving the Mac...it feels so much 'smoother' than a pc......and it just feels 'fun'......I am still learning some things - like I keep forgetting that the back button on the mouse is NOT th eback button lol.....once I get used to the differences though I think I will ove it completely :) I think once you ahve a Mac you NEVER want to go back to a pc :) Kathy go get that laptop! Lloyd suggested we have a laptop but I just don't like laptops lol....

coffee lovers :)

With Chris (my coffee lover)
and me with my coffee :)

Funny pics :)

Having fun with the 'effects' buttons on iphotobooth :)

My card

Here is the card I have entered into the Iron Chef contest....so that is me DONE...all 3 pieces are finished and uploaded at scrappershaven.ca so I can relax a bit and if I don't make it through to the next level then so be it! I've done my best......it was fun...and I enjoyed the process and it has helped me think about my layouts and altered items a little more...and it has helped me look again at ribbon and stickers...so thats a good thing!

Of course I still can't decide if I should have trimmed the flower down to fit the card or if it is best left whole.......Lloyd couldn't decide either.....so I left it be.....

My girls (the two legged kind lol!)

With Susannah and Abigail.....

us.........

Well I wanted a pic of just Lloyd and I but of course Abigail HAD to join us and then didn't 'get' that the camera was at the TOP of the screen lol! Oh well....we tried :)

Cartoon character....

I feel like I'm in the Aha video lol! "Take on meeeeeeeeeeeeeee'

playin' around.....

OMG I love this computer.........

Mac's photobooth

The computer comes with a camera built in to the monitor so you can take instant pictures just like a real photobooth.....here is my first attempt...a picture of me and Laurie :) How cool is that???? :)

The weekend...

Saturday morning....Sam is in the workshop with Lloyd......Sam was desperate to get outside today...had his boots on very fast! Its supposed to get to 8c today but the breeze is cold this morning....

The girls are at the table playing 'Moose In The House' ...this is a great card game that I picked up the other day at Kites and other Delights.....the cards have pictures of rooms on them and some have pictures of Moose in the rooms...then there are pictures of doors and pictures of a moose coming in through the front door.......oh and moose traps....

Basically you have to give away your cards and try to get moose into all your opponents rooms while keeping moose out of your own rooms...the kids love this game - especially as you get to shout things out like 'Theres a moose in the house!' and 'slam' and 'moose trap'..........

We played last night while Lloyd took Chris to his friends house...and Abigail won! - which is funny as its for ages 8 and up!!!

So Chris slept over at his friend Andrews house last night........he is coming home some time today....Lloyd and I were going to watch The Devil Wears Prada, but in the end we decided to move family movie night to Friday so we all curled up and watched Open Season. It was a cute movie.....yes I cried at the end......but laughed through much of the movie :) The porcupine of course was my favourite.....I especially loved when they were toasting marshmallows on the quills :)

So now its Saturday and we don't have plans for today......lazy day at home...relaxing and then playing outside this afternoon.....

Tomorrow we may go to the Home and Garden show.......or the Muttart for the Tulip Festival.....we can't decide......we may even just stay home again and watch another movie......play a game or something.....

I HAVE to make a card still for the Iron Chef Contest - I have made 3 so far...the first one I lost :( the second one I hated and the third one is ok but looks crappy in the photographs....its an odd shaped card and it is difficult to take pictures of it :(

So I HAVE to get that done today or tomorrow as it has to be online by 9pm when the contest closes....

Charlynn.....

Charlynn those are the EXACT reasons Lloyd got us a Mac.......because they are so great for the net (very few viruses to get at them) and they are even BETTER for pictures and music etc etc......it takes up much less space too......

I have taken pictures but my old card reader isn't compatable (most things are though) so he is running out to get a card reader sometime today so then I will add the pictures of it..........

I was so so tired of never knowing when my pc would work...when I would lose everything...when it would die in the middle of something...we tried endless virus protectors but still had issues...with the laptop too.....and after years of getting fed up with Lloyd having to reformat and losing address books etc and never knowing which hard drive my work was on or anything then we had had enough...I think Lloyd was fed up with me calling him to tell him the computer had died again!

I don't like change normally but so far the Mac seems really user friendly.....I think Brandy (Miss B) uses a Mac too and has always recommended them.....and finally I can see the little pencils on each post for easy editing :) It was such a hassle to edit posts before......so I didn't often bother lol!

We do have to get the pc up and running again though because the work I need to do for the company (testing/ QA) is on pc.....
