Day 2....my pages..

Here are my pages for todays prompts - and I had sooo much fun - working on wrinkled pages - stiffened with modpodge and gesso was great fun!! Watching the tutorials and joining in on the blog is great too! So hard to believe the girl running this course is 17!!!! She really is a wise old lady in a teenager!!! I can only hope my girls are that mature and responsible when they are her age!!! :)

She's certainly made herself a nice amount of pocket money with this course of hers this Summer!!!

I am LOVING the workshop I am taking. Such variety in style, music tastes and journaling.....even though the prompts and tutorial are the same, everyones journals are coming out so differently - Kara and Rachel are inspiring us to come up with such different ideas. I am really enjoying playing around with the supplies and stepping out of my usual 'box' when it comes to being creative.

Today Kara put two' Vlogs' on the teaching blog and she was telling us to relax about wrinkled pages - let them HAPPEN....let the frayed edges HAPPEN - don't worry about things not quite fitting...to RELAX about not being perfect or 'quite right'......or not liking our writing.

Wrinkled pages is a biggy for me - if there is a crease on a page often I will tear the page out and start anew. So for today I worked on thickening pages by gluing three pages together with modpodge. Nice strong pages BUT they are wrinkled!

Yikes they are wrinkled!!!

Yay - they are wrinkled!!!

So today I get to create on wrinkled pages :)

And step out of my box...

And create :)

Supper at Montana's last week...

It was such a fun night - everyone was in a great mood and the conversations were hilarious!!! Of course, getting Chris to actually LOOK as though he's having fun is NOT easy ;)

Naughty but nice.....

We just discovered this bakery that sells the most enormous cream cakes and the most delicious bread rolls!! We won't be going very often as they are soooooo bad for you lol! But for a treat they are sooo YUMMY! Seeing Abigail trying to bite into the cake was sooo funny :)
