Head full of numbers.....

How is our day panning out? Well I read a book to Abby while she was curled up in bed.....chatted with Christie on the phone (wow what an eventful phone call...I think we had to call each other back about 4 times lol) I tried to phone my Mum to see if she was better but no answer so I left a message.

I made about a thousand pancakes for all the hungry mouths here.......I played Susannah 4 rounds of Head Full of Numbers...a math game we have. I won three and she won one.

The rest of the time seems to have been spent blowing my nose and sat at the computer which is all I have energy for......

My little book worm

I was chatting to CHristie on the phone earlier.......and trying to make pancakes at the same time.....turned my back on Sam for a couple of minutes and he decides he is the mood to read a book! I guess he just couldn't decide which book!!! I had to grab my camera and take a pic and of course managed to hang up on Christie by accident too.....
See Christie THIS is what happened!!! :)

yucky still

OMG I feel so ill again this afternoon....I can't breathe and I'm worn out and just feel nasty :( I am so fed up with this. Lloyd is coming home to take the boys into town and to their movie night. Thats good because I don't think I am up to the drive.

Piggy back ride..................

The girls yesterday playing together.................

All boxed up...............

Isn't it funny how children love to play with boxes? I have pictures of all my children when they were little sat in boxes :) I love watching their imaginations at work!

Bucket head!!!

Sam spends a lot of his time walking around with a big plastic box on his head....funny little guy! He's been doing this for about two weeks :)

My poor poorly girl..................

I just went upstairs to see Abigail and spend some more time with her and she is fast asleep......I have had to strip the bed because she threw up everywhere...so she is sleeping on some sheets I threw over the mattress and with a spare quilt.......close to the bucket - just in case!
Poor little thing. I hope she feels better soon.....

a few movies................

A few movies we have watched recently -

North Country - what a wonderful movie...it shows you how we are all too quick to judge people and it shows how strong women can be when they know they are right....and I am so so glad her Father stuck by her BEFORE he found out the truth......rather than because of finding out the truth!

A History of Violence - we started watching this a few days ago but fell asleep before the end...so we watched it again last night to see what happened.....the first half is a fab story but the ending just seemed badly acted.

I couldn't figure out why Tom's brother had an Italian-American accent when Tom didn't even have a slight one! That seemed odd to me!

Bee Season - I thought this was a very odd movie for Richard Gere to choose.....it is an odd movie generally and nothing like I was expecting......I sat through it until the end but there are parts that really don't make sense until nearer the end......

The Constant Gardener - Lloyd gave up on this and fell asleep...it is a very confusing movie..again until the end when it all becomes very clear.......I am glad I stuck with it until the end...I loved it......loved the ending.......she loved him :) and I'm glad!

Have you seen any of these? What were your thoughts?

For one more day............

Mitch Alboms latest book is another FAB read.......about a man who gets to spend one more day with his mother - who had died 10 years earlier.....

Its a very clever book.......at the end you realise that you often don't know how much you don't know about the choices your parents made or what they did for you......there are a lot of twists and turns in the book but they all make you think! Mitch Alboms has a wonderful way of making you look at your own life while you read his stories................and he also has a wonderful way of making you see how short life is ...and how precious!

Read it! Read all his books! They are only short novelsand you can read them fast..the plots are always simple yet clever....and I think they change you.

Can I scream?????????

We never get sick...yes I get migraines and DS gets migraines but my meds stop them being an issue normally.......the kids sometimes pick up coughs and sniffles but not normally colds and the last time we had stomach flu/ vomiting was when we moved into the old house 3 years ago!

But now all of a sudden we are all sick! It started with coughs and colds two weeks ago.....then my migraine on the Monday that wouldn't go with meds, then my cold started and is now a sinus infection........I still feel crappy but able to do more...just tired out by lunch time is all.......

But now this morning Abigail has a bad headache so I gave her tablets and she came into bed with me......an hour later she throws up all over the bed....she has been sick twice since and is now curled up in my bed with a bucket beside her watching treehouse.......

I have the kids friends here from the sleepover last night and I have to drive them home after lunch and then drop my boys off at the homeschool movie night.........yet now I have a sick child in bed :(

When are we all going to be well?????? I am so tired of us being ill...it really isn't like us at all so its so draining.......we are missing out on doing so many things.
