sigh........

Weren't we basking in +24.9c temperatures this time last week???????? Enjoying my porch and thinking Summer was here?????

What happened?????????

Assistant beekeepers at the ready!

Trying out the new beekeeping veils! I won't be wearing one after the first day I doubt, but Lloyd wanted one and we got a childs veil too so that the children feel more comfortable around the bees to begin with.

Abigails new look...

Abigail had all her hair cut off today....she's gone for a short bob :)

Home :)

They're home :)

white out :(

I can't see the end of the driveway any more and Lloyd is out driving :( He has gone into town to get Susie from her swimming party. I will be glad when he gets home. I will be glad when Chris gets home. I have vacuumed and watered all the plants and tidied round. Laurie has dusted everywhere downstairs and refilled al the bird feeders. Abby and Sam have been tidying away all the toys. But really we're just waiting for Lloyds truck to come up the driveway. I hate this weather. I ahte this weather in January - but even more at the end of April.

Lloyd says he can't even work from home tomorrow either as he has some meetings he has to attend :(

What a day :(

The weather is absolutely horrible. Lloyd doesn't think the school buses will run tomorrow! Imagine - a snow day in April! Late April!!! I guess I will have to check the news in the morning to see if the buses will run.

Lloyd is going to take my truck tomorrow for work and so Abigail will miss her second drama class. But the snow is piling up fast and they forecast even more over night tonight. It has been coming down heavy all day and it is blowing around so much! The roads were a real mess going into town. The plows are out working hard but it's just coming down too fast. we were in the mall for about 40 minutes but all our footsteps and tyre marks by our truck were totally covered by the time we got back to the truck.

Chris went to the water park at West Edmonton Mall today for a party. I hope they got there safely - I haven't heard anything so I assume so.

Lloyd and Abigail had hair appointments at lunch time, and Susannah is swimming with friends at a birthday party in town this afternoon, so we all went into town for that. As we only had three children with us (which seems such a small family to us) we went to Smittys for lunch. It means we won't have to cook dinner tonight now as no one wil be hungry!

I always have the same at Smittys and can never eat it all.

I order the 7 grain short stack of pancakes which is 3 pancakes. And I order the sugar free syrup. How many pancakes can you eat? I can only eat 1 1/2 pancakes on a good day. Most days I can only eat 1. Can anyone eat all three? They are huge!! Some days I can't even eat 1.

Now we are home and soon Lloyd has to head back into town to get Susie from her swimming party. Then Chris will get home around 6:30pm.

To be honest I will be very glad when 7pm is here - everyone will be home and safe and in the warm here again. The weather is nasty and the roads are just horrible.

If you are out on the roads in this weather over the next few days please PLEASE drive carefully. My dear friend Mandy lost her beautiful children and her partner in weather like this and I never want to see anyone go through an experience like that again.

Take care everyone.

Best News Ever!!

Graham Norton is now on BBC Canada on Saturday nights!!!! Woohoo! He has always been on Out TV over here which is a Gay TV network that you have to subscribe to. I have sooooooo missed Graham Norton!!!! He was my favourite back home - I LOVED his shows. OMG they are soooo funny!!!

Last night I spent a whole hour laughing out loud watching him with Letitia Dean and Gabriel Byrne...and at the end he had The Backstreet Boys on. The whole show is full of bad language, sexual jokes and just rude stuff but it is so so so so funny. Graham Norton is so funny he really is and now I get to watch him each week again :)

They were taking the piss out of the Finnish sport of 'wife carrying' and they were also trying to figure out if it's true that you really do marry men who look like your Father.

Then they went to a local pub and got people in the pub to shout out a line from the movie The Usual Suspects to see if they could shout out this rude line without laughing (Because Gabriel Byrne said it took them ages to film it because all the actors kept laughing and then one of them kept farting). They even got this little old lady in the pub to shout out "Give me the f*cking keys you c*ck s*cker' - well, she did it!!!!! Without laughing!!!!!! This little old lady!!!! So funny!!! Letitia Dean from Eastenders did it too and apologised to her Mom for swearing so badly too!

If you get BBC Canada - check him out - well worth the $5 a month or whatever it is to get the channel :) I promise you will laugh out loud!!! :)

Anyway its a funny show and I am so happy its now ona channel that I actually get - because I was tempted to subscrbe to out tv just to get it :)

One last snowflake...

I snapped this one flake yesterday...it isn't very good because Lloyd was nagging me to get on with helping with ripping the carpet up and he didn't seem to care about the pretty snowflakes on the window that were calling to me and begging to have their picture taken......so here is the one I quickly snapped and it didn't come out very well and is horribly cropped ad just not very good at all...but anyway.....

Snow........again......

Aren't you all a little bored of snow pictures??????? I know I am!! This is the view from my window today. And they say there is a lot more on the way...At least 15cm on the way.....
