Our Friday :)

Sam still isn't well and I am fighting off whatever it is he gave me...and today we were on call in case my friend needed us as she had to head to the hospital today and wasn't sure her hubby would be home - so we missed the classes we were supposed to be in today.

Instead we spent the day at home and made the most of it!!  Sam worked on the story he is writing...it's quite an exciting story so far about a dog :)  I helped him with his spelling for a while and then Abigail helped for a while.

I'm so glad I didn't push him with his reading last year when he wasn't keen -  KNEW it was the right thing to do.  They say that 7 is actually the ideal age for children to learn to read...their brain development is just right at this age.  And he is suddenly really interested and keen to read and write.

Abigail made another dream catcher - I think she plans to take this one to her dads house to hang in her bedroom there.  She said the dreamcatcher worked last night!!

She also made more valentines!!

Susannah finished another book yesterday and today played guitar and relaxed and pottered about!

Abby baked cookies and then made Susannah some hashbrowns!

Then we got the big bucket of corks out and we looked online for crafts to make with them - Sam decided on boats - and we tried a few different designs!!  Then we set sail in the bathroom sink!  They floated!!!  Yay!!  In the end we decided to get in the bath and sail our boats in there!!  Much more fun!!

The sails got wet and so he dried them over the heating vent and then re-used them!!  He created all kinds of stories about the boats - I think his was named The Catarina, and mine was called Little Louie

Abigail made a man out of corks instead :)

The cookies Abby made were amazing as usual:

And I also got caught up on my online class and journal:

Oh and this morning Abby and Sam created a race car from a kit that Sam got for Christmas - it is made from bits of cardboard and came in a book but has real wheels - it was really neat!!

You can see Sammy still looks run down in this picture :(

Some Valentines we've been working on:

A hot bath this evening was much needed and blissful:
