Who is reading my blog???????

Ok - I have to ask.......I realise that its easy enough for some of you to give out your email address and google password to friends and family etc so they can read my blog .....and I don't mind that but I'd like to know who is reading.....I have no problem with other people reading my blog but leave a comment - say hi and let me know where you are and who you are!!!!

Today I have had people reading my blog from Lanarkshire, from Radcliffe/ Bury....from Norfolk...Milton Keynes....Lambetth/ London ......various other places.....Toronto.....

So.....WHO ARE YOU??????????? Just say hi so I know who I'm speaking to.....

Its no biggy.....but I write personal things here so I'd just like to know who you are...

And everyone else - instead of giving out your email addy and passwords...just ask me to send an invite to your friends instead...then at least I know who my 'readers' are!!

I can see your IP addresses so I could always go to the hassle to check that out but I won't....but basically I can see where you are from, how you found my blog (ie which site you came from) how long you are here and how long you spend on each page......I can tell what kind of computer you are using - which system etc....so theres no hiding really and if I wanted to I could find out the address via the IP address....or the addresses shared with that IP address........but I won't...I'd just like you to say hi and say who you are and maybe how you got to be reading my blog....

I LIKE having readers...I love that you all wnat to read about my boring and dull everyday life.......but I'd like to know who you are!

Ok....I'm off for a run now :) In the rain :)

On death and dying.....

I've been meaning to post this for a while.....and this rainy day with nothing much to do seems the ideal opportunity.

What kind of funeral do you want to have? Would you choose a living funeral - where you celebrate your life with friends and family BEFORE you die? Would you plan for after your death? Pick your coffin, the music.....everything and prepay?

Have you thought about it....

I think my main reason for wanting to 'get this out there' and post about it is because I don't want Lloyd judged after I die.....

I seriously believe that a funeral is for the living - those left behind.....it isn't to do with the person who has died...its a way for those left behind to say goodbye and find peace with their grief.

So of course Lloyd could decide to go against all my wishes and have a grand affair of a funeral - thats up to him - whatever helps him.

But, if I have my way, there will be no funeral. I want the cheapest coffin possible....just a box..preferably nothing if you can have nothing....just cremate me and get my ashes.....sprinkle them somewhere meaningful to you.....and then blow the money that would have gone on a funeral on a family holiday somewhere fun! Go to Disney...or Scotland to our old haunts......go wherever!!

Having been unable to attend a few funerals of family and friends, I have really found that they don't really matter...they are like big white weddings to me - a total waste of money.

There are so many better ways to say goodbye to someone......with less wasted money.....

So if I die and I end up being cremated in a cheap pine box with no big send-off.....don't judge Lloyd - don't think he is being a cheapskate...he's just following my wishes....

And if he decides he 'needs' a big send-off to say goodbye to me then thats fine too .....because thats his choice. And i'll probably be looking down at him shaking my head and thinking of all the better ways he could have used that money to say goodbye ;)

I feel another obsession coming on.....

I want to go out for my run but I've just eaten so I need to wait. Its raining outside and I STILL want to go for a run....

This morning was ok.....3 Moms turned up with their children - not a great turn out...its such a shame ......if people don't use these rural activities then they will be stopped. Not one of the preschool children came....how weird is that? You'd think parents would love having somewhere close by to go with their children on a rainy morning...

We made mobiles with zoo animals on them....the children were all given planting kits with seeds, soil and little plant pots....we played playdoh and then all the children got a musical instrument and marched around the room pretending to be in a band....and then they were each given bear paws to stick on the wall....they had to jump as high as they could and stick their bear paw on the wall to show how high they could jump.

I stayed behind and helped Samantha tidy up. Laurie and Josh cycled to the store with the loose change from my car....

I got home around 12:30pm and grabbed some crusty french bread for lunch...then Chris arrived home from his sleepover just in time to babysit so Dan and I drove out to Tofield to take Susie to her friends house for the sleepover...we drove home via the township roads and I showed him the house we had tried to buy a few years back......it's still lovely and I often wonder how Rumples the Moose is doing! Sadly another couple beat us to that house but it worked out for the best as we found this one instead which is closer to town and just as pretty :)

Lloyd finished work early today so has been home for a while......he is going out to put the gate on the dog run......

Tonight? We are doing very little......no idea......no plans...perfect :)

But for now I am off to put my running gear on then I am heading out into the rain to run a little - even though it is supposed to be a rest day and I am not supposed to run at all today.....I just want to :)

Friday morning and I'm going to be late...again!

Its Friday morning...I'm sat here slowly waking up.....have to be at preschool by 10am....well its a playgroup kind of thing really and my friend Samantha is running it...the children have no school today so Laurie is coming with me so he can go on a cycle ride with Samanthas Son Josh....

Chris went to the movie last night with a friend and then decided to sleep over at the friends house.....he will be back after lunch. I have to take Susie to her friends house in Tofield this afternoon....and she is sleeping over there tonight and won't be back until suppertime tomorrow....

Its May long weekend this weekend - basically Monday is a bank holiday - for Victoria Day - to celebrate Queen Victorias birthday. 'May long weekend' is the official start of camping season, and kind of the unspoken time when you can start to put out bedding plants etc without risk of frost....although some say not until 'the first full moon after the 1st of June'.

To me its just great that its a 3 day weekend and I have Lloyd home for longer!

We don't really have any plans for this weekend....Lloyd and I have an appointment to go and choose windows and things for our new sunroom/ new kitchen thingy - basically the extension we have planned...although we haven't signed anything yet so right now they are still figuring out the price etc....so I guess it depends on how much they want.......

Dan wants to go shopping with Chris and Laurie tomorrow.....we were going to go ice skating but will have to do that Monday or Tuesday I think because Susie isn't home tomorrow and she really wants to come....

I should go and find my shoes...and Sams shoes and get organized.....it's 9:55am and I am supposed to be at playgroup in 5 minutes.....

Have a great day everyone....
