Weekends business.............

Last night Lloyd and I curled up and watched Best Friends....it is such a good movie...funny and sweet and I didn't want it to end :) Sometimes its good to just watch a movie where you don't have to concentrate much but can just enjoy :)

Its a little like our story...the couple were best friends at school but the boy wanted to be more than friends......then as adults they meet up again and try to become 'more than friends' but its difficult because of their history.....just like us :)

When Lloyd and I started being more than friends it was weird...for months I couldn't really look him in the eye because when I did all Isaw was the little boy I grew up with ;) but now its fine :) I still don't like to think of 'who' he is......because I can't imagine doing the things I do with him the Lloyd I grew up with (lol) and its so funny seeing Abby and Sam growing up because they sometimes look so much like that little boy from all those years ago :)

But I also LOVE that we grew up together...that we share a history and know all the same teachers and friends and have memories from so far back. And I love that we were always good friends. Even though I wasn't interested in more back then, I always liked him :)

I'm rambling!

So after that movie we went to bed and watched Closer........its a horrible movie...but a brilliant movie....the whole infidelity, nasty men, internet sex thing is just nasty but its a very clever movie too...and of course Anna is a photographer so I was looking at the lighting in her studio and her backdrop etc etc :)

This morning we had coffee in bed and then got up and went into town for breakfast at Smittys........I had the 7 grain pancakes.....they asked if I wanted 5 or 3...people can really eat 5????????????? HOW???? I ordered three and ate one and a half! They are so filling! And I had them with the sugar free syrup so it wasn't a bad breakfast really and was so filling I didn't need lunch!

After Smittys we went to Costco......we normally go every three weeks but we hadn't been for 5 weeks...for some reason we didn't use up everything this last time.....I guess with Lloyds week off and our trip etc it made a big difference. The parking lot was heaving with people buying for Thanksgiving but the store didn't seem so bad.....we soon OVER filled our cart but we had a nice big GC to cut down the cost .....with the exec account we get a lump sum back each year so we used that today....we got a few Christmas gifts which was good :)

Came home and Lloyd was outside with the children doing stuff around the yard and in the workshop and they were playing with the dogs.......I worked on a clients photographs and put them onto CD ready to go. Now I'm blogging and then I am cooking dinner.....veggieballs from Costco which I adore....with couscous and a sauce...............

Tonight? Maybe a family movie..........its cold and windy outside...VERY cold...but they say the wind is a sign that a high is coming through, so tomorrow should be warm.

I hope you are all having a great weekend...what are you all up to? Its Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada which means Monday is a holiday (second Monday in October always) What is everyone in the UK up to?????? Louise? Lynne???? Oliver??????????? Jacquie???
