Geese.......

I forgot to post!!! Yesterday when we went to Costco we saw several geese on a melted pond by Baseline Road........HONK HONK!!!! I still haven't heard that sound yet but we did see a duck flying by too!

A wonderful sign that Spring is here :)

People not in Canada...it isn't like England here.....you can't go and feed the ducks at all between October and March because there are NONE...they ALL (very sensibly) fly south for the winter........from mid September onwards the skies are filled with the sound of birds flying south.....fields around here are filled with geese meeting points...they stay there for days waiting for their friends to join them and then they all take off together.....it's a sad sight in the Fall because you know Summer is well and truly over.....but this time of year that sound and sight is just wonderful :)
