Slept REALLY wll last night in the new bed - but I didn't use a pillow as the pillow felt too high - and then Lloyd woke up this morning and complained about the pillow and I think its because you kind of sink lower into the pillow top of the mattress so the pillow itself feels really high......so back to our old squidgy pillows instead of our new kingsize ones...still, they are ideal for sitting up reading!!
And I sat up reading until midnight last night....a HUGE book from the library about Charlotte Mason....I forget the title but I think I may order this book as its so good! It has some very interesting points about ADHD and some of those comments go back to something Charlotte Mson herself said - in the 19th Century!!!!!
Chris got home around 11:30pm...came upstairs to say goodnight and when asked how the party was he said 'great - I made out with three girls' I laughed and said to tell me this morning! Sounds like he had a great time - no he did NOT make out with three girls...but he also didn't go in the hot tub! He says he spent most of the evening sat by the firepit with K - a girl he likes ;) I'm glad he had a good time!
Laurence phoned at 8am and asked if he could sleep over again tonight! So he isn't coming home today - but its ok - they have no school on Monday so he can still get two good nights of sleep before school.
Lloyd and I went to Costco again this morning - we didn't need much but we took the opportunity to buy a few more food items etc for Christmas....
Lloyd had to go to Home Depot for a new door, so while he was in there I strolled around Staples, Homesense and Michaels. I had to deliver more letters to do with the community league Christmas party that I'm helping to organize - so I dropped one in each store we went to.
In Homesense I treated myself to the cutest snowman soap dispenser - he is holding a sign that says 'I love winter' so I don't have to just have him out for Christmas :)
In Michaels I was looking around when I heard someone call out my name - it was Rhonda!!!!! OMG Rhonda it was so great to see you - it has been so long! I'm sorry I didn't recognise you - you had an unfair advantage!!! My blog lol! Anyway, I got to meet Rhondas Mom who is visiting at the moment - and I have heard so much about her in the past that it was great to meet her! Rhonda looked so great - but then she was having a child free girls day out with her Mom so she had every right to look great :) I hope you had a good day Rhonda - can't wait to read all about it!
I ran into the scrapbook store afterwards, to get a few things for a project I am working on right now - I can't post about that though!!!!
On the way home we spotted a For Sale sign at our neighbours house - their land backs on to ours - so anyone looking for a good priced family home out this way come and BUY IT - we could be neighbours!
Home to unpack everything and the girls went out on their quad bikes...in fact they are still out there! Lloyd and I are going on ours too but not until twilight. Lloyd and Sam have been out on the quad though as they have been chopping down trees and dragging them back to the fire pit...we may ahve a fire later....
All the children are full of colds - so I had 3 cloves of raw garlic with Ryvita and cheese for lunch - I smell BAD but I do NOT want a cold!
As for me, I am scrapbooking and blogging and basically relaxing until about 4pm when I am going out on the quad for a ride with Lloyd and the girls.....
Tonight - not sure....probably a movie......eat some more of the Halloween candy - no one has eaten very much of it yet and its been locked away so....maybe a game with the children and a movie!
It's been a nice day. And now I'm off to work on Debbie's challenge on Scrappers Haven!
