Well, we thought we had our weekend planned out but things changed pretty quickly last night! Susannah got invited to the movies so she went off with friends to see Mad Money. Laurence has gone to his friends in town to sleep over....two nights so he won't be back until tomorrow some time. Then Chris was invited to go to Vermillion for the weekend to watch his friend in an ice hockey tournament...they are staying in a Super 8 motel. So he left at 8am this morning.
So things are pretty quiet. Lloyd and I went to Chapters last night and looked through the magazines....sat and had coffee in the Starbucks there.....Mmmmm skinny latte with sugar free caramel syrup!!! Yummy! Then we chose a magazine/ book for each of the children. We bought Walter the Farting Dog for Abigail which she LOVES :) lol what kid wouldn't love a weird story about a dog who has a flatulence problem???? :)
So this morning we sat in bed watching the morning news and now we are up and heading into town to go ice skating...we are taking several spare pairs of pants for Sam as he is diaper free but may get distracted while ice skating or playing in the indoor playground.
Its so quiet having just 3 children...ind of weird. We sometimes try to imagine what life would have been like had we only had two or three children...and while things are definitely easier, it would have made me sad to have the baby stage over so fast. I'm still very happy we had 5 :) and the house does seem very quiet without the boys here! Not that they are noisy lol.....
We decided its just too cold out to head to Ice on Whyte today - so we may go one evening this week in the dark and see the movie on the ice screen....or maybe next Sunday to watch the fire dancers melt all the ice statues......we'll see!
