Alberta House, where Lloyd and Chris had their buffet lunch and got on of my pins. This was their 'base' for the day, but they said the food wasn't great. they had mini sliders (burgers), fries, vegetarian chilli, and quesadillas (not very Albertan if you ask me lol) but it WAS all free so they weren't complaining. They were given $100 to cover food and drinks etc for the day but didn't end up spending much of that at all - couple of hotdogs etc in the sports venues and some Starbucks downtown etc...so Chris treated himself in the Olympic store back at the airport and they brought us all back souvenirs too:
On Robson Street they have all kinds of activities and also Ecotours ziplines:
Even Batman is in Vancouver for the Olympics:
There are 'Welcome' signs across Vancouver in all different languages. This one is in 'Finnish' - lol I feel even more like the 'Girl in the Green Scarf' now lol:
Lloyd wanted to show how busy it was in Downtown Vancouver...as well as showing how they have closed off the streets to cars....he also wanted to show me the signs of the Olympics around the place....
I think he did a great job of capturing the atmosphere for me. He doesn't like to take pictures so I had told him what to do (all week lol) and he did a great job of taking pictures for me :)
Lloyd and Chris are both exhausted from their whirlwind trip, but it sounds as though they had a lot of fun - they have some funny stories, some great memories and both seem soooo pleased to be able to say they were THERE!!!
