At Strathcona Wilderness Centre - and best of all, all the fees from the
rentals on Family day went towards the 'Everybody Gets to Play' scheme that our County runs, which runs free playdays and makes activities and sports events available for all throughout the year - so that people who can not afford to take part normally CAN take part!!! :)
They even had lessons for just $2!!! My two didn't need a lesson though - they were naturals and just zoomed off!!! :)
The weather was sooooo gorgeous - blue skies, sunshine, just -2c and stunning powder snow....
It was a really lovely day and I am so glad we went :) The children didn't want to leave and we will definitely be heading back there very soon to hit the trails again!!
I think we will look for our own ski's too to save on rental! There are sooooo many cross country trails in our area to enjoy - and Elk Island Park too! Wow I can't wait :)
